I fancied starting a topic - my first - and so I thought I'd ask...
if you could have one superpower, what would it be?
I have two answers. One is that I'd enjoy the ability to change shape, because I'd enjoy answering everybody's personal adverts with exactlywhat they were looking for! Think of the happiness I could bring into the world!
My second answer is more mundane: I'd like to be able to speak any language.
I'm currently trying to think of a method by which I can use this thread to post yet another picture of my behind... I'm working on it...
Anyway, will anyone else bite? Ever thought about what superpower you'd like?

Flying, I had the pleasure of a ten hour trip on the Tasmaniian ferry watching albatrosses soaring effortlessly over wide dark oceans.
However, on the pervy side I was interested in the invisibilty as voyeurism would be effortlessly and I would be very curious to see how interesting a sex life some of our names and well known personalities are.
Would x-ray vision serve to be equal to invisibility for sexual purposes?

Have you read "The Fermata" by Nicholson Baker? In this marvellous book the protagonist has the ability to stop time... which he onlyuses for taking off women's clothes, looking at them and then putting them back on.
It might be a bit rude for people, though...

I would like to be able to look straight at someone or their pic and visualise a summary of them.... :small-print:
i.e if they fib a lot, what their likes are, dislikes are.. oh and sexual preferences...
That way you could never say or do the wrong thing and know when you've come accross a dishonest person before its too late :lol2:

Oooh, deep. The advantage of duplication, though, is if there's no-one else around to join in, you needn't spend your Friday night on your own...

I am totally with you on the telepathy. I can never tell what someone is interested in with me - friendship, sex, etc etc. It would make life so much easier to know straight away. Especially since I tend to assume the least.
Just going through this thread again, I was sure someone would have come up with Omnipotence - Not sure I'd want it - responsibility and all that, not my thing being a blonde - although the thought of people worshiping me as a blonde godess quite apeals to me ( well, I suppose that's a different thread about your ideal dream )
