Corrie there is no doubt smoking is a physical addiction .Thats why it creates so many physical effects when we withdraw.
Congratulations on day 2 Wake up tomorrow and be so proud of yourself ...what you will have achieved will be immense.
The cravings will grab you several times a day over the coming weeks but rest assured their intensity will subside.
Develop a strategy to deal with the cravings as they occurr; for me it was either popping an extra strong mint as it gave me that full lung sensation or if practical a burst of excercise that made me seek lung fulls of fresh air at the same time exposing and reminding me what fags had done to my lung capacity.
On saturday buy yourself something nice with the cig money you would have spent over the 4 days.(Don't offset the cost of the patches)
Go Girl ...Looking forward to stealing a kiss from you at the Manc munch
Ngde
I am not at the Manchester munch now NGDE  sorry.............. but your advice is really sound. I will get some mints. I nearly gave up last night for 15 minutes as something painful happened which really threw me but I know if I go back to smoking because of self pity I am not the woman I thought I was.
NN agree about being pregnant - did that 4 times and had no problem each time giving up smoking -
Okay who wants to father my babies ???????????
