Hi!
just joined, wondering if anyone can give advice on going to a swing/swap club for the first time. My girlfriend and I are keen try, but not sure of the best way to go about it or for that matter where to go!! we live in the North West.

Why not check out the Clubs and Parties page, find a place that seems to suit and then just pop along?
Personally, going on what you've written there, I would take it real slow. It's all so different, you don't wanna rush things, just enjoy each stage you're at :D
Why not go along with the agreement that you're not going to play? That way, all pressure is taken off you before you even step in the place. Just go along, sus out the surroundings, the atmosphere, have a chat to people, have a look around. Just enjoy the novelness of it all.
Then when you get home, chat about it, see how you both feel - if you both enjoyed the place, then you can always go back again and join in the swinging aspect a bit more :D You'll know what the place is like for yourselves then.
ALWAYS stick within your boundaries, and go at the slowest persons pace. There's no rush, just make sure you're both enjoying yourselves
