Ah, thank you. Time to renew my specs methinks!
ooohhh I like it....nice to be 'kept in the loop' to use a buzz phrase!!
some interesting info on there
 from me!
Yeah, it's nice to be kept informed. However, I can't say I'm impressed with some of the news...
Max, your specs are fine...it's visible, but not in a "jump up & bite yer bum" way. wink
I was under the impression I would get an e-mail when a newsletter was available, but I didn't. I just noticed the announcement on my homepage. Bit of a miracle really, I'm not noted for my observation confused
Ummm... not to sure on some of the "news".

All public site wide Avatars will soon need to be "non adult" in nature as they will be used in a lot more places across the site. Such as groups, events, as well as e-mails, and a wide range of other places. Members of course can continue to display their adult pictures in the gallery, and on their profiles and photo ads. We are also in the process of building an application that will allow members to block seeing certain types of content on the site if they want to such as genital shots.

well i logged in and didn't take any notice of the news letter thing either as i came straight in here. so having seen this thread i took a look.
now as for the above, sorry if i'm being thick but i thought this was an adult site? i also thought there are already rules in place about what sort of avatar we can have. i also thought that that was a little over policed as it is considering we are on an adult site. so exactly what consitutes as 'non adult'? coz frankly the most we get to see of an actual person in an avatar is the occassional nice arse or boobs. as for the other stuff, well i've seen far worse on 'non adult' sites! we are not children, we are part of a swinging site for crying out loud that dictates enough by saying no cock and pussy shots.
as for my avatar being used elsewhere on the site, i'm assuming i get an opt out option for that? i don't have pics in my profile for a reason. i also don't send pics to everyone who mails me either for the same reasons. choosing to have an avatar in the forum is one thing but i don't remember being asked if it could be used elsewhere!
whips
IN EDIT: so am i to asume that my original avatar (the one i have now put back in incase i can nolonger use it) is now too adult for this adults only site?
have to say i am in agreement here, I didn't see anything wrong with the rule as it is now.... in fact I would have gone in the other direction, and said that only "full members" should have access to pics and avatars......
and the varification thing... shame to see they are going to bring it in.... on all the other sites I have been on, it has ended up creating a two tier site.... i suppose this means varification by the back door (the leaving message this on the profiles) hasn't worked the way you wanted it to...
but heck... I am not bothered fighting it all anyone.... in the end you'll end up killing the golden goose and it will be a shame...
I guess i should post in here. we were unhappy with some of the new site improvements and some of the already implemented changes... we made suggestions in the forum, in which they seemed to be ignored, we pm'd admin and raised support tickets... also filled in the "suggestion box" that was on the homepage a few weeks back... the result, ideas listened to and comented on in newsletter and some may even be implemented. it just shows that dispite the fact that sometimes the site appears to be here just for profit now, or that admin dont listen, the actually do

On your homepage.

Just read it, must say never stopped to look before.
One thing I agree with is the idea of removing from the search option people who have not logged in for a while (the news letter says possibly a month or two). I'm sure there are plenty of dormant people on here who have not logged in for many a month or year even who still come up in a search etc.
Now don't get me wrong, I am not advocating deleting them from membership, if they want to sleep for a while that's fine, and they should still be members so that when they come back all is fine for them. But for a current search to find someone who's not been logged on for years is a bit frustrating to say the least.
Only my opinion.
