Well I wouldn't mind one, when I qualify.
Wouldn't where it around my town, but would on hols etc.
Thumbs up. smile

Are you aware of how much hard work and effort went into arranging the SH pins?
I know you don't post very often, but you could have a look round and read at least the stickies, but one of the Mods has made it easy for you by putting in a link for you.
I have the SH pins, and there are plenty left, so if you meet the guidelines in the thread, and are invited to a munch, please come and find me and purchase one.
The cost is no where near these other pretend pins!!!!!!!!!
The SH pins have been available since early July 2005, so I think SH is well ahead lol
I'm going to get one so I can wear it next time I goto Rio's.
It's realy going to hurt pinning it into my wimpy naked chest lol
Yeah lets get one, its an excuse to speak to Sarah wink
See you on Saturday.
Oops I haven't checked I qualify yet, but surely standing stark naked on a wooden statue at midnight to allow another sh member to photograph me counts
Checked, 491 posts over 17 months and at a munch tomorrow, I'm in there biggrin
Regards
Harry Jones
Tsk..... some crappy commercial venture stealing SH's ideas............. whatever next rolleyes

Early July you say Sarah? How very co-incidental that the company who makes these pins (used by millions of swingers... rolleyes ) only registered their website on 19 July this year...
It'd be a million to one chance surely, that someone was looking at this site and thought they'd make a fast buck...
And the website is worth looking at.... if only for comedy value...
I particularly liked the couple they quoted who used "a swinging website that only cost £100 a year to join" who then used their swingpin to trawl bars looking for other swingers with the swingpin on... you couldn't make it up! In fact you could... and i think the 2 fellas running the company may well have.

Just checked, they were delivered to my house on 4th July, and were available from then onwards, which is when Misschief started the guidline thread.........The first munch they went to was the 15th July
See told you we should have sold the lot on ebay (after sending one to the papers for more money for the story) and used the proceeds to buy a small swinging island ;)
Actually I love my little SH pin, just wish I could find the damn thing... Sarah! help...
hehe, will catch you at a munch soon babes and buy a couple this time in case I lose one again...
Pissed myself laughing when I saw that website, with the fake testimonials and claiming millions of customers even though the site's only been up since two weeks after the SH pin was launched. What a coincidence..... NOT!
And the design "69" - how juvenile. rolleyes
Original, official, tasteful and discreet SH pin: Less than a quid.
Silly obvious bandwagon attempt:
Stop, my sides are splitting! rotflmao
I was just thinking... leagally..... could we not sue them or something, at least send them a strongly worded letter........... we have proof of the idea, and what better way of getting own SH paradise(or failing that the isle of wight) than getting someone elses cash to pay for it????

I don't know Sean, but as I've thought about this more today I'm now feeling pretty pissed off that this site's idea has obvioulsy been ripped off..... evil
Angry Blue is not a nice Blue mad

If they said it was a Swinging Heaven pin they'd be in trouble, but they're not saying that. We have proof of the idea, yes, but the only thing SH has a legal claim on is our design, and their design is nothing like ours.
Our pin says "I am a member of Swinging Heaven and you won't know what this pin means unless you're a member too."
Theirs just says "Fancy a shag?" lol
May I say I think this is very funny and this neil guy (contact name on website) is most likely an SH member with a very good business head - he should be applauded - he's only trying to make a bob or two. I do think you should lower the price though mate... wink
Not all swingers are on SH, after all...........
I actually thought theirs was quite a nice design - quite classy! They seem well made anyway.
We should also not be so insular as to reject the possibility of broadening our horizons.

Yes, my logical self agrees with you there, but my angry self says that it's over-priced bullshit and if people fall for it then they're just losers who don't deserve the name "swinger" hehehehehehehehehehehehehe :smug: wink lol

that is true... Not all swingers are on SH
but if he is a SH member, which we are guessing that he may well have been, isn't part of the thing about SH that it is non-profit???
so where someone had a non-profit idea and the man is making money of an idea that many not have been his kinda stinks.....

Its just business Sean. Enterprise. Not a crime....
Maybe if they have used SH's pin idea, we should consider it a compliment, surely imitation is the highest form of flattery? wink

I agree it's opportunist profiteering, and it wouldn't be the first time some lowlife has tried to use their membership of this site to their financial advantage. I think if they are SH members and are found out they'll probably be out the door sharpish.
Also, I think it's destined to fail because it doesn't actually mean anything... anyone can have one so what's the point?

Please tel me why people should not be finacial recompensed for the time and the trouble they have taken with this enterprise? After all would you go to work and not expect to get paid?

Many people do things for this community at their own expense and without asking for or expecting any reward. I don't think that was Sean's point. What I think he and Blue are saying, and I would agree with them, is that it's a pretty disrespectful thing to do if someone is trying to cash in on their SH membership by stealing our idea. It's not illegal but it still sucks.

Ny husbands rugby club have been using a tie pin to identify their ex and present members for over 15 years that I know about, would you like theri details so you can contact them about stealing the SH idea? I warn you they tend to be fit and large guys!!

If the guy doing this is not making a penny out of this then i will hold up my hand and take it all back.. however if he took an idea from a non-profit website and decided to make money from it then yes i do believe it is a very low thing to do.......we will have to agree to disagree on this, i believe it is profiteering, you call it whatever you want....

I can see where Treasurechest is coming from however those who did kindly take on the project of the SH pins did NOT do it for profit passionkiss and if anything will be currently out of pocket for their trouble until such times as the pins are all sold.
GET YER FINGERS OUT SH'ers I BUY YER PINS!!!! Oooohhh errr redface
If someone has ripped off our design, and they would have to really be from here, then I dont see that as Enterprise.......I see it as a boot in the balls for the originators and I pretty much agree that it stinks mad
