Mmmmm, went to the freezer to find a Mint Magnum which i had forgotten i knew was there. :high-smile:
As i was eating it, it sprung to mind how things taste so much better when you are not expecting to find them!
Is it just me or are things better when the expectations aren't there ?
I found £10 in a bag that I forgot I had the other day. It did'nt taste great but I was pleased to see it!!
Love
Fire xx
I stole a jacket from a friends girlfriends flat (it had been left there by previous tenants froma year ago and the current slobs hadnt thrown it out) it was so cool that i decided to have it...the pockets were full of money

I thought this thread was going to be about the old TV series, Roald Dhals “Tales of the unexpected” or “Tales of the so fecking obvious” as it should more properly have been known.

I loved watching those.
Used to stay up and watch them at my Nans house.
I have the book, which I borrowed from the library, and then forgot to take back. oooopsie!!!
But it reminded me just how obvious they actually were!!!
Awwwww fond memories!!!!

only theft if you mean to take it and not give it back, if you dont know who it belongs to how can you give it back.

I used too sing "see a penny pick it up and all day you'll have good luck".....until I split the back of my head on a open metal locker door after bending down surpriseduch:
Well...I found Gra when I wasnt expecting to find anyone...is that the same thing.?

Hey Sara ... you looking into the deeper meaning of the post !
Wont ask where you found Gra though. lol
Louise you also noticed how Sunday dinners taste better when they are slaved over by some one else ?
Left my kids with a neighbour for a short time whilst i went to the Doc's the other day. Full of trepidation i go to pick them up thinking wonder what i'm going to be confronted with!!!!! I was surprised when the neighbour said they had been really good and were a credit to us surprised
Secretly i reckon some one paid my kids....... a lot!!!! lol
I agree, and I'm going to be totally sexual here and say sometimes the best quickie can be the unplanned one and can take less than 5 mins! .. mmm fantasticly unexpected!!
Cashew nuts .... the other day I bought a pack for Mrs Tweeky and had a few from the bag biggrin hmm whats this it seems somehow I have never had cashew nuts before in my life as I have not tasted this taste. Bloody lovely I am now enjoying a bag of cashew nuts every few days, shame they are so high in fat mad

I'm like that with pistachios...addicted to the bleeding things now, but I love the fiddly bit of geting them out of the shell (like popping bubble wrap).....and they go so well with beer!!

Make her give it back Stormy! Especially if you have matching shoes. wink
I had a hand written letter from a friend a week or two ago..totally unexpected but it really was a nice surprise.
i had a big grin on my face all day from it.
How often do people send letters nowadays what with all the various methods of instant messaging?
well it was nice to know someone had taken the time and effort to put pen to paper, nip to the post box etc..mind you stamps don't have to be licked anymore do they..the lazy so and so.. lol

and niether do some envelopes these days...
but who's to say that the paper on which the note had been written had not been matured and prepared in the rich confines of the senders underpants/knickers, thus ritualising the act of sending...
i duuno... one tries ones best, and look what happens... (ahem!) someone tries their best and look what happens... can't do enough for some people can you....?
and the paper-cuts!... blimey! believe me, you don't want paper cuts down there!
lp
Paper cuts down there..yes definately a Tail of the unexpected.
carefull now!
I've just found a £20 note in the washing machine ... it's well laundered!
That reminds me that I have a half-finished packet of dried bananas somewhere ... now where are they? Mmmmm?
