Teccie help please . Couldn't connect 1st thing ,and had to return to my Control Panel to set my default connection up again . However , i noticed a serva SIXA as an option to connect to . Never noticed it before , has it been there all along ? or am i a victim of something ?

Sounds like(dont know for sure) it could be a premium rate dialler which has somehow infected your pc.
Im no tech wizzard but id definitly try and delete it,for sure dont try and connect through it until someone can confirm its "friendly".Can be a very costly business as ive found to my considerable cost in the past.

Sounds like a browser hijacker. I had the "About blank" thing for ages every time I booted which meant that I had to keep resetting my default back to Google. I didn't realise it was a worm.
Took a friend who knows about these things to get rid of it. Spybot, AVG, AdAware,XsoftSpy,NoAdware etc didn't do the trick and she had to go to the internet to find the way to remove it.
Basically I think if something appears out of the blue that you haven't "allowed" it's malicious.

I had a similar problem after downloading some porn 
.......a virus got onto my comp I used spybot and ad-aware seemed to have sorted it out though I have deleated the downloading site I was using. I also had to contact my isp provider to help sort it out. I couldn't get on line till then......When comps work they are great but when they go worng :sparring: :sparring:
