I'd be grateful to know the answer to this too, the PC my daughter uses does the same thing as soon as she connects to the internet.
You could try downloading a program like Ad-aware, it searches your machine for little spies in your cookies and deletes them.

I tried that this morning but it didn't seem to work....I'm thinking it might be a virus instead. But thanks for the advice....
Relativly new here (John dont hit me again!), but I might suggest:
o loading the Google toolbar to stop most pop ups
o download latest virus sig files
o perform full scan on your PC
I love the Google toolbar anyway - its well worth having.

It sounds like your browser's been hijacked though it could be a virus.
