pretty brilliant polo except maybe, some may get confused as you wrote if theres an afters party for some maybe social isn't correct terminology but if you read the site rules regarding munchies (i always thought munchies was those little chocolate blocks in a red packet) sorry just my humour trying to shine through. they state its "PERFECTLY REASIONABLE" to go on to an afters party although your attendance can't be guaranted because bla..at that afters party.

I think that is because the 'munch' is the main event - not a 'pre-after-party' quick bevvie.
The 'after-parties' at munches needed to be mentioned because this gobby lot keep talking about them lol - so I guess it was wise to mention them so others get the drift.
But, I welcome your comments and I'll have a think. I just wanted to avoid too much bogging down in nitty-gritty detail and making it a rewrite of war and peace.

HLB you got me wetting myself now, just read your thread on another forum, i see you've now introduced another event ." A LARGE SOCIAL" now would that have diferent terminology to say social, mini munch, munch, meet lol. only kidding babe.

Has someone been inpersonating me again? dunno

There may be a couple of "General Site Laws" to include

Yes, I thought that as I typed but to be honest I couldn't be bothered to go and look at them to make sure I accuratly quoted.
I do have a suggestion though....
At the bottom of the guide/advice/whatever, have a 'Useful Links' list (rather than padding out the text)
Example:
Useful Links
What is a munch?
(insert link here)
Rules for Munches
(insert link here)
Rules relating to Socials
(insert link here)

Well you get the drift wink

As long as it's not a brass drift
I didn't think for a second that you were putting it forward as the definitive answer (damned close tho')
And let's not forget, it all depends on the "powers that be" getting on board. With that in mind - having started the ball rolling, I'm going to walk away from it all now.

Oh no you don't matey!
Mine was only one suggestion - it may not even be close to what is needed. But I have to say I thought it was time to start moving on a step before the momentom was lost.
This is far from over and you ain't going anywhere yet - that's it - you've been told! evil

Bring it on!!!
Report away, but do remember this time to quote the whole truth, not the edited highlights, wont you. I would hate to think people get the wrong idea because of misinformation. A bit like when you pass that information to a third party for them to make snide remarks in the forum - did they know the whole truth or just what you felt was enough to tell them?
I'm sure Admin will look forward to your 'complaint'. No point threatening it unless you go through with it, otherwise it's all hot air.
I will not discuss this further in public.

Right then, back to the matter at hand....
where are we going with this situation on what is called a social and what isn't?
it appears that the powers that be are happy with their description of a social, it also appears "us lot" who's added to this thread are around a lot in the forums, why not leave it as it is and if someone places an ad for a social and it could be misconstrued in any way, a private pm to the author not blatent slagging off explaining to him how it could be miss read by someone and suggest better terminology,
if it aint broke dont fix it, but if it starts to sqeek oil it,

Fair point - I also believe if something is working well why change it for the sake of change, unless it is to make it work even better. However, in this case and to use your terms... I think this one is already squeaking. May be not such a loud squeak as to need a full service, but a squeak none the less - so many be a drop of oil to help smooth things along is what is required.

a chatroom op stated on this thread in early pages that munch / social rules have remained unchanged during life of s.h. and why should they be tightened or loosened now.

Cockslut that comment was regarding a separate issue. Here's a few quotes from the same op later on

But . . . . my main concern and reason for the thread is the ambiguity surrounding the threads billing pre-drink fuckfests as socials.

Getting ya now  Perhaps then additional guidelines need to be put in place like there is for the munch.... The Mods and Admin team are going to kill me for saying that bolt
There goes case in point. If you refer people to those guidelines the ones that state "members only", how does that help?
So you've explained to them what a munch is that's great, but not if they're asking you the difference between a social and a munch.

As above.... Perhaps additional guidelines need to be set?? dunno
