I *think* *some* people see the post count as an indicator of 'newbie/ not so newbie' status -
but , there are some people here who've been around a good couple of years and may only have a relatively small number of posts because they're not around everyday/ only contribute when absolutely necessary or feel the need to.....also, we've seen this loads just recently with people who've been using the ads section for ages and only just venturing into the Cafe........
others might have been here 5 minutes and be quite prolific posters in a short sharp burst of posting.
Then there's the other one's. Those who 'spam post' and spout absolute bollox in a really naff attempt to get their post count up and therefore perhaps some sense of 'status' here without actually making any sort of valid contribution to the threads/ site/ community.
