It's all absolute madness, and why? because of the law. The law states under the 'Gillick/Fraser Guidelines' you are not permitted to issue condoms to 13 yr olds and under unless you are sure they are serious about sex and 'understand' the concept of what they're getting into.
So, they leave, no condoms, and go and have sex anyway 'cos they understand the concept alright, they're 'phyically' capable of sex, and lo and behold, 9 months later the 13 yr old is a possible Dad!.

Know what you mean on that one! Can't even allow them to see a condom demo or join a sexual health workshop. Well ya can - but with permission/s/advice etc - so is possible but not a regular occurrence.
I saw somewhere that the 13 yr old said he was going to be good Dad - he might be at. I personally think its far to young (for Mother as well) for all the stresses and worries of parenthood.
Why can't kids just be kids eh?
