Hey Everyone......
I was thinking of going into the Army......not yet, because anyone that knows me will know I have a HELL of a lot of work to do to get myself fit before I can go there......but once I've got fit and got my Nursing Qualification (hopefully) then I would like to go there....
The reason I'm posting this is because I know we have quite a lot of ex-Squaddies on here.....and I wanted some information on the Army, not the sort of information you can get on the website, more what it's really like and what happens when you get there.....
You can either PM me or post on here......
Looking forward to your comments.....
Dreamer Helen.

I think you know why!!!!!!!!

The ex-Army hold fitness training sessions every week, all around the country. You can get really fit and meet ex forces peeps. So I suppose its much like the TA.
Ex-army wife here....
I think the 6 weeks of basic training is mega harsh (needed, I know!), but good luck to ya!
Helen
come and have a chat with me tommorrow at rio's, or after in the pub - I'm ex army ( 9 years Grenadier Guards) and i'll give you a few re-collections.

As some of you know, I have a medical condition which means I am on permanent medication......does that mean I won't be able to get into the Army? I tried asking someone on the phone but they weren't sure and said I would only be able to find out once I've applied......
That's really frustrating cause my medical condition doesn't affect me at all, it just means I have to take medication three times a day.......
Anyone know of who to ask for a definitive answer?
