Well I guess I'm a little older than you at 26, but to be honest I don't think that age is necessarily the issue, as opposed to maturity and having though about your life and life style choices.
I think, i'm probably wrong...... that I am more mature and aware of my sexuality and what I want to be doing and with who, than many people who are older than me, be they 30, 40 or 50, I also know 19 year olds who are even more sorted than I am.
What I'm saying is that I think it depends on the person / persons and their experiences and personal maturity, rather than just their age, although I think that it is the case that people in their 30's and older are more likely to be in stable relationships where they are happy and secure, and have made choices about their lifestyle and have developed the love and trust neccessary to fufill that lifestyle choice.

I have to say, I was hoping for maybe somekind of discussion, rather than 10 "im " posts, and a smattering of injokes.
Perhaps I have approached things wrong.. after all, the first rule of any forum is to read before you post.

That's the nature of the forum, we can't possibly be serious all the time. We may be old, but we don't stop having fun or making jokes. Maybe you should read the forum so that you can see how lightly you got off, compared to some others. confused
yeah , and it doesnt matter how seriously you take yourself it wont make you any older or wiser . Sometimes the wisest posters are the ones who make light of the subject . Hoping for a discussion isnt enough , you have to ask the question in the right way to get the responses you want , but that skill will come with experience of life . cool

I dont think age is an issue - its the person themselves that really counts.

not only does age not matter.. but you are only as old as the man/woman you feel.. and to top it all off.. age is but a state of mind..
whether age is a state of mind or not, your body still shows it in most cases.
GazSal does it matter what the average age of a swinger is, if you're looking for a particular age group? . Your last comment about a person's age showing in their body, plus your initial post saying that you seek people of about your own age, seems to indicate that you are indeed looking for younger 's not a criticism, just an observation. Just search for that age group in the ads.

Average age of a swinger was just a topic title, I dont think it matters no..
I was looking more for a discussion about why people of certain ages are into swinging and others arent, my comment above was pretty flippant based on the notion that "you are only as old as you feel" which I think is quite silly.
I don't think it's age so much as a state of mind and a willingness to explore other areas of sex. Age then becomes irrelevant. Maybe it's more common for swingers to be in their thirties+ because most people aged 30+ are settled in relationships or have become newly single? I do realise that that is a fairly sweeping generalisation and I apologise for not being able to word it better.
