Working in London tonight, the boss of the company Im subcontracting for has booked the hotel, he is smug as hell at the deal he found.
Just checked the details and its bang in the middle of Tottenham :haha:
Im not going to say a fucking word, cant wait till we get close and have to pass police cordons, burning cars and looted buildings
Im packing a hoodie, a scarf and some gloves, ill be fine. The barbour jacket waring public schoolboy MD might not fare so well............
I didn't find the hoodie line funny if honest. sorry
Just make sure you leave nothing in your car /van / lorry!
"the boss is an idiot" .... "2+2=4" ..... is this a new stating the obvious thread ????

Probably not funny if you lived in Tottenham and were caught up in the riots.
I'm staying in Bristol tomorrow night and was booked into a hotel in the city centre.
I had a call earlier from our admin girl to tell me that due to the current situation they'd moved me to a different hotel out of the city.
I know that London is at the centre of all of this pathetic behaviour but I still let out a sigh of relief as personally I dont want to get caught up in the middle of it.
Stay safe Fraser.
Changed hotel to earls court, all seems quiet but lots of police about
Finished early so beers on expenses for a few hours :haha:
Well back in one piece, London was very quiet, with the size of the police presence I witnessed Im not surprised.
All the pubs and other businesses around us were closed by 10PM or even earlier, many didnt open at all. I retired to the hotel where I had a great view into a police compound and bus terminal being used as a staging area. There were 50+ officers, 8 riot vans, 4 police cars and 3 detention vans, they were active through to 3am, their actions seemed calm and measured despite the visible tension.
I hope things in the rest of the country settle down as quickly, with the tragic deaths in Birmingham I fear this may take a lot longer to happen. Birmingham is a great friendly city where I work often, we are always made to feel very welcome whenever we visit.
Thanks to all who wished me well - either on here or in the PMs I recieved
