Have to say i am mighty impressed with what i have seen of the new chatroom so far...
wow!!!! hopefully it will send the spammers and directors away, and give us a quality chatroom back....... smile

Bloody hell that is better from a technical point of view it hardly uses any of my processing power might acthually use it propally once I get some spare time to sit in there a job well

After about the third or fourth try I finally got in, but I think the misake I was making was opening the link in a new window, it doesnt seem to like that, but it is brilliant in there!!!!

Whoops, I mean I right clicked on the Chatroom button to open another window. It does open another window but it is working for me now and I am actually very impressed.

I keep getting "you have been disconnected" messages.
Anyone able to help as this does not seem to be covered in the help section!
Annoying thing is- was about to invest in a cam tomorrow for a giggle! ....not so sure now though!
Even the computer hates me......

I kept getting the "You have been disconnected" message but on my 4th or 5th attempt it worked, keep trying ;)

Yep it seems stable and it's not using too much processor resource. OK webcams aren't everyones cup of tea, but they ain't intrusive, and if you ignore the directors you can actually engage in converstaion with people again just like before.......

Yes getting into the chat room is a bummer........... like it's hit and miss either with IE or Firefox........ c'mon admins whats the problem with it..

Like some others I had difficulty getting into the new chatroom but eventually managed it after altering the seettings on my firewall (which i'm a bit wary off!) Got to say though that it's now miles faster than the previous version and not frozen once on me so far. Only problem is i can't figure out how to check somebody's profile direct from the chatrrom....any thoughts?

Couldn't work that one out either, and also the PC just slowed down to a dead crawl until I quit chat.......... so maybe more work is still needed.

Its not the final version, we put this version up this evening as it works better than the last one but it isn't finished, we also needed to assess the load on the server that drives it.
The links to profiles and other things we will try to work in on Friday together with moderation.
The connection problems will be looked at.
