The good old bi/bi curious debate again

But with a difference :lol2:
Since Steve came out as being bi curious I have been thinking about how we catagorise men with regard to being bi sexual. At present there are 3 "catagories" for the want of a better word... Bi curious, orally bi and fully bi but what about women?? dunno
Over lunch today I posed this question to someone who says she is straight but quite likes kissing women and likes boobs, but isn't interested in the lower half of the female body. I wanted her approval before I started this thread but I wonder if it's possible to be labelled partially bi as a female? :dunno:
Are there any other women out there who are partially bi but dont say so because saying you are bi indicates that you like fanny fun?? :dunno:

coffee monitor moment lol
I have a new label for my friend.... Curiously straight :smug:
I started my voyage of discovery with the female upper body obsession and only went for fanny fun (tm shireen) when I was in my mid twenties.... I never looked back after that.
Curiously straight, partially bi... who cares? It's just another label and we all know that we never fit perfectly into any category lol
Jane classes herself as bi and enjoys bi fun, giving and recieving. A friend of ours is only happy with the recieving bit ( by the right fem). We use the term hetraflexible cos it sounds fun but just plain greedy is what she uses to describe herself pmsl.
I think I am like your friend, I love boobs and loving snogging other ladies but not that interested in taking it any further. I dont think of myself as bi-sexual, but I also dont class myself as straight?

Oh I like that one Meaty
For my two pence I think every one is bi to a degree, wether we choose to admit it to ourselves, or act on it is another matter. and the curious, oraly bi or fully bi, bit doesnt realy come in to it, as we all have sexual preferances, be it in a hetro realtionship or a gay one, there are some things that some people just dont enjoy or wish to try, i have met a woman who didnt like penetrative sex, so did that make her oraly straight.

If you had said 6 months ago that everyone is bi to a degree I would have fiercely agrued the point, but since Steve came out my views have changed a little. I still believe that some people would never consider any form of sexual act with a member of the same sex, but possibly it's because they have closed their mind to it. Perhaps it is just each individuals ability to open up as to whether they consider the possibility? dunno
Once again, what HornyBear said.

Do you mean never looked up?

I think every one is bi to a degree, but it is if every one has the ability to open up to it.
things that happen to us over our life time either open us up to the idea or close our minds.
the odd thing with the parents ......they point someone out when your a little thing and say 'they are a bad person' etc ...it sticks in your mind! although they are not talking to you but your aunt Marry and uncle Bob
what is bi?
good question, it diffo's to each one of us.
are you bi if you only dream of women in bed with you? (no matter what your dreaming wink )
each to their own no matter if they are women or man ....best of luck to them
Sorry, but I don't agree that everyone is Bi to some degree.
I am not, in any way, shape or form, attracted to other women.
Yes, I know people say 'but how do you know until you've tried it'.............well, I've never stuck a red hot poker in my eye but I know it would bloody hurt  biggrin

Up to a point a do agree with this, but I also agree with what the others have said about everyone having a bi side. HOWEVER, I think it would be better to descibe it as everyone as the ABILITY to be Bi, if they want to open up to that option.
It is also a very personal decision if you want or dont want to take the experimenting further. As Lissa said, I automatically know that I would not want the red hot poker in my eye and some people automatically know that being bi, or playing with a member of the same sex is not for them.
From a personal perspective, I dont know if I am bi or straight, I just like to do whatever feels right with whoever I am with. I do love boobs, all shapes and sizes whether it be looking, or anything else, and I also love kissing a woman, but I think this is because I personally find that women are much better kissers (one exception, but I wont name HIM on here). So am I bi, bi-curious or straight?
To be honest, who cares as long as I am having fun lol
I don't think everyone is bi to some kind of degree or other. I do however believe the theory that there is a line with completely straight at one end and completely homosexual at the other... every single one of us will fit on that line somewhere, whether it be at one end or the other or some way along that line.
hmmmmm I sort of had this convo recently and ended up agreeing that the lady and myself having the convo were - situationally bi.
this means that from our perspective sometimes we get into the situation where we are with the right people in the same mindset and we wanna play
other than that - nope I'm not bi but I can appreciate another females attributes- appreciation and actual playing are very different things imo

Whats really funny to me is that in the States 'fanny' means your bum ... so I had a whole different reply ready for this but then the wine got the better of me!!!

:giggle: lol rotflmao I'm adding nothing to this. PMSL!
I'm loving all these new terms (especially hetroflexible :rotflmao: ) to try and define just how far along the gay-straight continuum people are.
I've got to agree with the people that think it's possible for everyone to have some kind of sexual curiosity about someone of the same sex. Sometimes it's just wondering what someone looks like undressed to what someone looks like while hump
I guess some of it is down to social conditioning as well. It seems far easier for a woman to say she's "bi" and be accepted (although I guess this is because I'm speaking from a male point of view) than it is for a man to say the same thing and feel accepted. dunno
I know that when I've said that "most men have had some kind of homosexual attraction or curiosity at some point in their life" to one of my work colleagues, he went nuts and said he'd never felt like that and the idea made him physically sick. I think he protested a little too much myself. confused
I had to go on a mandatory training in hetrosexism & homaphobia the other day & got told by the two ladies that gay & lesbians hate people who are bi  They commented on that bi people are just confused & give them a bad name
As I am bi myself I really wanted to stand my ground, I stood up, opened my mouth then looked round to see 50+ peoples eyes looking at me redface I just sat down again
So peeps is this true? Do people who are bi give others a bad name?
I don't think it really matters what one might think of, or classify oneself as....
...someone is always going to be p*ssed off by it....
C'est la vie

To my mind this is just as bad as the bigoted anti-gay things that are bandied about and still are in certain circles.
I think that it's disgraceful that a group that were victimised for so long can turn round and say things like this to another social group.

In my own personal experience I have not found this to be the case. I have lots of gay and lesbian friends who I go out with a lot and have never met with any bad feeling from other gay/lesbian people in pubs and clubs.
Maybe some people in the gay community do dislike bi people for whatever reason dunno
That's prejudice and it's wrong-but I am not going to worry about it. If someone can judge me because of my sexuality/race/gender/hair colour etc the they are not worth my time or energy ;)
Don't forget as swingers we are also frowned upon by the vanilla society rolleyes Oh dear getting it from both barrels   ;)
rolleyes
I can't say I agree that everyone is Bi to some degree but we have been surprised at just how many are in fact curious or have indeed tried... each to there own we think, we know guys who were straight as a die and have turned out Bi doesn't make them any different.. well Ok slightly then lol.
For me personally I have no tendancies whatsoever not even slightly curious but mrs mdr is and has tried most things Bi.... its even what got us started in this lifestyle. The point is that although she is Bi she isn't Bi with every Bi woman we play with, just as with men she has to have an attraction as were sure most bi or gay women or even men do.. with some she is happy to play to a lesser degree than others as it were.. saving Fanny Fun (TM Shireen) for when fully attracted with the other party....
If its good why not.....
