The King Kong piss-take...?
Yup, that would be the one!!
biggrin
what about hells grannies
damn that was python
No, my avatar is just a generic griffin picture I picked up somewhere.
I would have used "Griffin" as my user name for most things but that's generally already been taken so I opted for the older variant of the spelling. I just think they are one of the more interesting mythical beasts and it's quite a unique, recognisable identity. cool
Yup, it's the really silly programme with Humphrey Lyttleton - I love it, it's just SO my sense of humour - and the BBC, in their generosity have put it on the web so we can catch it any time of the week! Bloody marvellous! lol
I *wish* I did own the former Midland bank though... rolleyes

Who remembers the giant Dougal...?!

Now I do remember Dougal chasing them around some maze or something in the title scenes...
Another one I think they did was a "Watership Down" piss take or something!!!
Nobody has even mentioned the orange dungarees and the rainbow sweaters let alone the haircuts and they "B-E-A-UTTIES!" That Graeme sported on the side of his grid!!! rotflmao
I have an idea...
Anyone for a night in with some beers (and a bottle of sweet white for the ladies!) and a few DVDs of vintage British TV comedy...?
Re-open the GFZ NOW!
cool
Don't really know what the goodies is? is an old sit com? maybe before my time.

It's all here mate, go take look - very VERY silly! lol
all these guys not knowing the goodies does make one start to feel somewhat mature, just when I had lost that feeling cos a woman of 20 something flirted with me
oh the battle of feelings
woman of 20 something come back here now, flirt away, drag away the years!

Just when life is beginning to get me down and I am in danger of succumbing to the old momentary blues I open a new thread and read the absolute lunacy within. And I have to laugh, and I have to remember and I have to laugh some more - I think you lot need a job lot of some sort of medication! lol
Not uppers cos you're up enough and not downers cos you're making me laugh... maybe some 'sensible' tablets would do the trick but then I'd not have a chance to laugh at all!
Dilemna here! confused :?
Oh, I remembe The Goodies and I LOVE 'Sorry I haven't got a clue' and I LOVE ' Just a Minute' and I HATE 'Quote UnQote'

How can anyone not know about 'The Goodies! '
But then they seem to have been absent from our TV screens for decades. Apparently they are never off the telly in Australia and yet the BBC appears to have brushed them under the carpet here. We get endless repeats of 'The Good Life' on BBC2 or 'Fawlty Towers'.
Next people will be asking who are 'The Young Ones'!
dont worry lovecommando it was bound to happen
neil (in leeds ?) you utter utter bas''d
quick vivien eat the telly rolleyes

Oh The Goodies really were fantastic. I moved house recently and in clearing out all sorts of stuff from my youth found a Goodies book. I made sure I brought that wth me!! rotflmao
I am also a big devotee of I Am Sorry I Haven't a Clue. The words of one song to the tune of another, Mornington Crescent, ahhhhhhhhhh. Lovely stuff. Intelligent yet silly humour. You can't beat it.
.....and how about this: "Being able to read is wonderful for blind people. I am blind, and yet I can read; thanks to this wonderful system called Broille. I am sorry I'll FEEL that again!" :rotflmao: :rotflmao:
Classic.
Right, off for a lie down and my medication now. Nurse, nurse! The screens!!!
Will :silly:
Well, if we are going down the Radio Four (was it the Home Service in the distant past?) memory route.. Sunday lunchtimes as a kid the radio was always on and you would be regaled by
Round The Horne or Beyond Our Ken
The Navy Lark
The Clitheroe Kid (which I must admit I hated!!)
