Yep.
But at least we woz robbed by a better team.

But we had two tries disallowed - one where there is no evidence to support the fact that the runner was in front of the ball - and the other that should've at least gone to video ref!!!! How could the ref make a decision on that!!! No-one could see where that ball was!! At the very least it should've been an England put in in the scrum!!!
Oh and Laird - flipa (he had that text ready so it came through on the bloody whistle!!! evil )
Wtf! we didnt play Ireland today did we?
Was it a friendly?
Couldnt have played any Chels or L/pool players.

- disillusioned English Rugby Supporter

Well I agree - the reffing was terrible. TO allow play to commence when a fight was going on was really bad too - typical of South african rugby where fighting is part of the game rolleyes
But - all I can say is that we have a young team and as long as we can pull it together before the next world cup - that's the main thing!!
I, for one, will now be supporting Wales to win the grand slam because i think they have shown themselves to be the best team so far!!
There were some very strange decisions in that game. Shame really 'cos it would've evened out the pack behind Wales.

Yes dear - we know you Welsh wanted us to win - just so you'd be top of the table rolleyes kiss

It was a close game and the Irish played well, but the two English tries are bound to be a bone of contention. What the hell was wrong with Cueto's try? dunno
I'll tell you. THE LINESMAN WAS FRENCH!!!!! banghead :banghead: :banghead: :banghead:
Grrrrr!!!!! mad :x :x
The bloody French will take any opportunity to stop the English scoring points - even when they're the officials and not the players!
Will
PS Historical note - The cheating bunch, led by a crazed redhead who shaved the back of his head (WTF? :dunnosmile, who paid us an uninvited visit in 1066 were descended from Vikings who settled in NW France, i.e. Normandy. This is important because it means that we have never been successfully invaded by the French. Ever!
can i just say as an ireland fan watching it in an irish pub.... what a corker.. lol
and brian o'driscoll is offically "god"
gotta love the "celts"

p.s i promised to watch the england vs italy game for the wooden spoon on the 12th march....... if you all promise to watch the ireland vs wales grand slam decider on the 19th!!!
p.p.s..... hey we might even allow an english player or 2 in the lions team in the summer.....
just the 1 mind!!!!!!
Just got two things to say.................
first - love both LadyFeeBees and Rainbows avatars, excellent choice
second - er let me get my composure, er yeah, only saw last ten minutes of rugby today, but really thought England were gonna get the points needed. Especially the disallowed try(?) , we will never know. Should have gone to video ref for consultation.

Geez that girl can read me like a book!! That's why I loves her!!
Jonathan Caplin(the ref) needs to go to specsavers
What a total blind man,2 prefectly good tries was onside and you could clearly see the ball was down and over the line.
Added to the Welsh winger been in touch when he put the ball down i think there must be some kind of vendetta going on.
I suspect it was Steve Walsh (you cant have 16 on the pitch) that started it closely aided by Andre Watson (i was gonna give a penalty anyway) yeah too right you were.
For all the slaggers and blaggers who say we are finished think again,to lose 4 games in a row by a total of 11 points isnt that bad and if we`d had the rub of the green it could have been 4 wins.

Which Welshman might that have been. He was either 24 hours late or he he'll be shot when he gets back to Wales from Dublin. lol

Sadly Fabs - I agree with you
At the risk of making myself unpopular....
Can we just be honest and say that Englands side is utter crap at the moment.
I really hate poor sportsmanship, where people start blaming the weather, the referee's, god etc.
I can't help but feel, that the commentary on the match, which was unbelievably one sided in favour of England, has swayed some opinions here.
Ireland's pack shoved the English all over the park, they tackled twice as much, they made better use of the ball, and sometimes the decisions went against them too.
Quite frankly, England deserve the Wooden Spoon.
Take a leaf out of the Sco's book.
We're used to losing, so we do it graciously and come back the stronger for it.

Yip - I agree Song - utter crap - BUT we did have some bad reffing today as well!!
Anyway - I AM taking a leaf out of the Scots book today. I am sure the laird will not mind me quoting this particular text I had from him today:-
"Ahh yes yes...the typical "English" ('cos I'm not English) response to defeat. Just get pissed! That's what the Scots do, and lets face it we have had plenty of practice"
So upon that good SH advice!!! drinkies :drinkies:

Uh, if you saw the decisions in the Scottish match, prior to Saturday, you'd know I've got a heck of a lot more to bitch about were I so inclined.
There's bad refereeing in every game. It's something you can rely on.
Question: When did you ever finish watching a game, and comment on how good the referee was?.........I rest my case.
The difference between Rugby and Football, is that there is a lot less whining and whinging in Rugby.
It's only a game at the end of the day.
P.S. Oh and if Scotland don't hump England silly, I'll cut my balls off! (Yeah right) biggrin
I was looking for the happy Scotland supporters thread and could not find it....I hope it is ok to join this one flipa
