As you all know The Magic Roundabout opens at the cinemas this week.....but who is using the kids as an excuse to see it for themselves......a bit of nostagia (have i spelt that right)........and what else would you like to see return.....i heard that they were bringing back a growns up version of Rainbow!
I wanna see it, but buggered if I am taking the kids.
Oh no ...............  NOT RAINBOW !!!!
Sorry Rainbows kiss
talking of adult Rainbow check this out..

dont let the download part put you off.....with all the threads about viruses been posted lately...its funny...trust me... wink
I love rainbow!!!! and Jamie and his magic torch!
The only consolation I get from having to get up at the crack of dawn everyday with a toddler are The Clangers and Bagpuss on C5 .
But I won't be watching Magic Roundabout. I just know I'd be disappointed. It's just a parody of itself with slick Toy Story annimation and big stars eager to show they had childhoods just like the rest of us. The cool of Nostalgia.

Skylark? Or am I thinking of something else?

""Plundering Porpoises! Jumping jellyfish! Harrowing hurricanes!""
Black Pig... no idea what Skylark is/was - a poem??
who has a magic roundabout what happens when you get on it.
Anyway I am to young for this and would rather see transformers or he-man in the cinema.
Mike
Didn't the Skylark give trips round the lighthouse? Something I re-enact with my boats in the bath. biggrin

Well you're in the WRONG thread then... this one is called 'Magic Roundabout' You need to use the search facility to find the He-man or Transformers thread, saw one about a while ago.

I'd like to see Batfink and his 'wings of steel' heh

"All aboard the Skylark" was from a kids programme called Noah & Nelly

I loved that programme but no one round here remembers it ... that and the Schmoo ... no one remembers that either sad
Gawd, i'm old enough to remember when the Magic Roundabout hit our screens in the mid 60's. Then again, I can still remember Beatle mania, the original Dr Who, Batman, Thunderbirds & the first series of Star Trekwhen they first came out and made a cultural impact!
What next, a remake of Hector's House?
LC wink
OMG I loved Hector's House! I used to drive an electric green KA which I called Kiki after the frog (well it kinda looked like a frog confused )

The voice over of Kiki was Joanna Lumley, I believe. Ab Fab! lol
LC wink

Well I'd like to see the return of Captain Pugwash and Puff the Magic Dragon.
I was far too young to appreciate the humour in these programmes when they were first shown.
