assuming that i advertised as a single guy, I wouldn't be in the least surprised if a young 20 something female turned me down, in favour of a guy nearer her own age. OK not a hard and fast rule, and maybe some young girls would be happy to meet with someone my age, but not all.
At the same time, when we advertise, we are not interested in guys in their 20's.......... we feel (and know from experience) that we wouldn't have much in common, and we are looking for friendship as well as swing partners.

I'm not sure that I'd call that ageism. I think it is just preference. There are some young, fit (get the cool terminology?) people hereabouts, who really get it on by intercoursing with older partners. So it's diff'rent strokes I guess.
