Following the success of the Masked Ball some time ago I have been asked if it is possible to hold another Ball ( ooooooh!!!!) :shock: :shock: :shock:
Everyone seemed to enjoy being someone else last time but the Ball caused a lot of problems for the Moderators. One of the rules of this site is that each person can only have one email address registered. We constantly ban people for breaking that rule and could be seen as hypocritical for allowing the Regulars to do the same thing.
We also received complaints about the Ball spilling out into other parts of the Forum, which was irritating for those that had no wish to take part.
From a Moderators point of view it was difficult to work out which identities should have been deactivated after the Ball and which were Newbies that had happened to join up that weekend.
I am proposing that we have another Masked Ball this coming weekend, but in order to keep everyone happy, some rules are going to have to be adhered to. They are as follows:
The Ball will take place in the Masked Ball thead, and ONLY in the Masked Ball thread. Any “Masked “Posters outside of the thread will be deactivated and that Poster will take no further part in the Ball.
Site Members will be restricted to having one Masked Identity only and this identity must be PM’d to me before they post using that Identity. This is so that I will know which Postings are from established Site Members and which are from the weekends Newbies. This also means that when it comes to de-masking time we will be able to deactivate the necessary accounts.
The Ball will run from the time the GFZ opens on Friday until it closes on Sunday night. Demasking will take place between 8 and 10 on Sunday evening and I will begin deactivating the surplus accounts at 10 o’clock.
We really need your help to make this work. If anyone abuses these rules it will almost certainly mean that we will not be allowed to do anything like this again in the future. Please don’t spoil it for everyone else.

I am hoping to take part again, it was fun last time. Could I be as bold as to suggest a SUPERHERO'S ball...? None of the known regular ones like superman etc, all made up ones with new superpowers from within your own ideas?
I like the rules idea about keeping it on ONE area and appreciatethe difficulties it made, but it WAS fun in the end? May we have a theme thrashed out for Friday night so we can all get kitted out and could it please, whatever the theme be stickied for the duration....?

gilbert do not take this as gospel, but i've just logged into the forum in 2 seperate browser windows as neilinleeds and A N other nick, so you can clone in the forum, but you need different email addy's usually to register each nick. it will tell you that your usual email address is allocated if you try to register a new nick.

1 machine, click IE twice to open two windows, then login to forum as gilbert in one, and someothernick in the other window! :lol: click between either window to post in either name from either window simultaneously! neil

maybe i am a bit dim.. but when i try to log in under two diff nicks.. whatever i do in one is carried on into the other.
