and is there some kind of potion that can get rid of it purrrlllleeeassseee
as im gettin a bit miffed off with this lovely thing called 'stress'
the 'tension' headaches are not wanting me to get out of the bed.....
rolleyes
Daft question, but do you know what is causing the stress?
If you do, then sometimes it can be easier to focus on fixing that than fixing the stress.
However, not always as easy as it sounds. Hmmmmm... how about meditation or other relaxation techniques? Or Dr Bach's Rescue Remedy - I have friends who swear by it.
Drink loads of water though to help with the headaches - and try to get some sleep.
:therethere: Hope it gets better soon.
Stress can be good.
You just need to re-frame it.
Unless you have deep seated personal issues that are best discussed with someone professional, then most daily hassles that you humans call stress can be re-framed.
Instead of stress, think challenge. Instead of failure, think success.
Trust me. I'm a doctor biggrin

No, but there are plenty of potions that can allow you to forget the stress for a while. Try a pub.

Wrong kind of doctor.
Sure thing, I don't trust those medical types one bit.
Yeah.
They changed pulse-oximeters 3 times before they realised each was right. My sats were 93%.

Even though I know that is true, it still does sound funny and hard to believe when you post it on the forum :lol2:

LOL....... it's more believable for me to say I am an android -- I'll stick with that in future lol
I've had an anxiety feeling for a few weeks, and it actually completely went last night, while I was playing on a Wii.
The peaceful feeling continued for about two hours after I'd finished playing it.
I don't know if it was the excercise, (I was on the tennis game) or the bright lights on the telly, or feeling of achieving something - but if you can get hold of one, it's well worth trying it.

I find exercise that I enjoy very relaxing - and I have always claimed to HATE exercise so that's saying something. One aspect of the benefit of exercise is that your conscious mind has to deal with the exercise and it leaves your subconscious free to start dealing with whatever is causing the stress.
Maybe the stress is external and you can't change it immediately, but the exercise would allow you releif for a period of time.
I have the Wii Fit and it's done me the world of good physically and I know I get a real sense of achievement when I get a good score.
i play a sport every weekend and i know after the game im utterly relaxed but by the monday thats it im back to being stressed...
that bach remedy relief stuff made me sick =) was a get out of free card in an exam thou
maybe your in need of a bit of Multiplex theropy ( or how ever the word is spelt...
i'm one of the werid ones that thrives on stress.. if i'm not running around at work in a blind panic i think there is something up.. but then again i tend to be a stressed eric most of my days..
this is probably not the right way of taclking it.. but i tend to find taking on other peoples stressed life a way of forgeting mine for a little bit.. always one to listen to others issues, and always good if i can resolve them.

Hammer tiles off the kitchen/bathroom wall. Works a freakin treat
Everyone needs a tiny bit of stress to survive, how your body deals with daily pressures placed upon differs from person to person. I studied a bit of this at college, 'flight or fight' lol
Stress isn't really a problem until levels increase and that's when the trouble begins. Increased stress levels should always be addressed, it can lead to heart attacks/strokes, or worse, death.
Yes, your morning headaches could be due to stress, but it could also be due to your body position during the night, your pillow or too much sleep as mad as that may seem!
I've always found swearing at inanimate objects works a treat......now if you'll excuse me I must sort this fucking computer out

During an immensely stressfull time in my life, the thing that got me through was excersise. For an hour and a half, twice a week I was at a martial arts class- and it was so intense you had no choice but to concentrate 100% on what you were doing.
It was a great release. :sparring:
