It's only 9 days away and I still haven't sorted anything out. How does a standard issue Northern bloke find something sensuous to wear? We just can't do sensuous, it goes against everything that's ever been ingrained into us. The only thing my feeble mind can come up with is to find a toga and go as Julius Caeser. Not sensuous I know but hey.........it's not street clothes either.
I went to the local fancy dress shop at lunchtime hoping to find one......closed. Arrrrggggh!!

Hi All, we are now definately going, child minders sorted!!!. We are a little nervous as like a few others, it is our first time too. Ok, we`d love to meet up somewhere first, but will unlikely be able to afford a pub meet, we`ll need every penny for the ball (The inland revenue chose this week to cut our money ), we are also allowing our eldest to babysit for the first time overnight, so we`ll be leaving as late as possible. If there is a landmark nearby we could meet at, that would be great

jjpc3 - I think the ball starts at 8pm and carries on all night. I remember seeing in the info that I got with the tickets that breakfast is at 5 or 6am - something like that, so I guess you need to get lots of sleep the night before :shock:

Ooooo No, its brill!! When we went to Torture Garden in May, we had to drive there, me in my pvc ball gown and boobs heaving out!! Had to walk from car to the venue, and got a few looks, i can tell you, but that just adds to the fun!! You can take on another persona and just me whoever you want to be, without being judged!
