Ok, I thought we should have a place of our own where we can talk shop, swop gossip etc., etc,.
There's always a warm welcome for any mates (M & F) to drop by for a cuppa and ....er....bacon sarnie. coffee
Course if you come after dark then the menu's somewhat spicier! :censored:
I've...........erm..............notched up two wing mirrors in the last week's work   Both of 'em were on 35cwt pickups. I was manoeuvering around them. The first one was a nearside one and my latest was an offside score. Ripped both buggers right off at the roots
I'm driving a 6 wheeler at the moment with a big overhang beyond the trailing axle so.....erm........I'm still getting used to the way the arse end kicks out redface surprisedops:
Over to you Dammie, Dargento et al.
innocent :whistling:
oooh If you guys ever get down to Beds/Bucks, any chance you could swipe a few bumpers or something............ business is quiet at the moment and I could do with the work
So far this month blown the turbo up on old 6 wheeler so quickly put into 8 wheeler which we've been building for the past six months ( not even sign wrote yet) but its got a fcuk big crane behind the cab (70 ton meter if that means anything to anybody) sodding thing weighs in at 21ton empty, as for rear overhang it extends 10 foot so i have 32 foot of deck space with 18 foot of that behind the last Axel (slap for getting tecy)
got stuck in the snow in buxton yesterday and today got it bogged down to its front bumper on a site in Leeds took a bulldozer to drag it back onto the road
came home looking like i had been mud wrestling so the offer of a cup of tea from eager's truck stop is most welcome thanks

ok ok some of you will think im talkin dirty here but ES will understand....
when you say 6 wheeler ES do you mean a rigid?....or a 6x2 or 6x4 tractor unit...
ive always moved around on the trucking scene and tried different things.....as well as a C+E lisence ive got hazchem and 360degrees lisence...and a few fork truck 1s...
at the moment im having a few years out ....doing some plastering/tiling for friends and working on traffic management...like driving tonka toys lol from what im used too...only use rigids and sweepers/ crash cushions etc...
i spent 4 years in plant transport doing CAT 1 machines. (upto 150 T) and that was a real good job....not sure how many wheels the trailer had as itd of took a day to count the buggers...

I know what you mean about overhang ES, I once took a bus shelter completely out with the arse of a coach in the late 80's
In fact - I haven't taken anything rigid out since I stopped doing the coaching.
These days - I can't do it backwards unless they bend
You asked me the other day if I was giving up the splitters.
Good God NO ! ! ! !
I'm not happy unless I've at least a paddle anda switch to flick wink
Although, I'm much more keen these days to back onto the ramp, than flap the curtains
And I could sit under a Tranny all day long ! !
btw - the views you enjoyed today are much betterer from a M.A.N. XXL
I did LD for many years, but binned it . Driving a 32tonne eight wheeler RoRo now on landfill hard work, but the hours and money are good..
Ooooooooooooh!
Welcome to the truckstop everyone. :bounce: :bounce: :bounce:
Fee. Can I have some tartan curtains to match your mini kilt hunni? :rascal:

I've had friends hijacked, but I've always been lucky. Apart from a little tickle at Birch one day, and the odd curtain slashed, I haven't been - but you Lady Fee, could hijack me at your leisure wink
