Dawnie,
Personal policy has always been to avoid the 'works' party and only be involved/attending my immediate 'team' christmas gathering, where none of the bosses are there and we can talk freely and outrageously. Always more relaxed and much better fun than the more formal 'works' bash.
My head hurts. I shall come back and answer this properly later.
lol

I did attend my "works do" this year and whilst I personally did't do or say anything outrageous I sure enjoyed watching those who did,its amazing how a bit of alcohol loosens the inhibitions of even the most senior members of staff.
I wouldn't know. There are 3 of us in the office this year and we're not having a 'do'
*him* on the other side, went to his second one last night. I'm sulking

I was hoping mrs Leics brought back a lady from her works do
Heckling Bob Monkhouse was probably the biggest mistake in a long career of christmas party balls ups.
i have never been to a works christmas do and never will
its bad enough having to spend my working day with some of the people i work with so i would never want to socialise with them !
but by all accounts the same people year in year out get way to drunk and make a fool of themselves .... i just dont understand it all myself lol
small company been there 8yrs n never had a xmas party,,,,,
but £100 pounds xmas box.
I regret making the effort to do my hair and look extra especially nice this year.
I've only ever been on one or two nights out with my own team, I usually gatecrash the one with my friends or at least people I like and want to sit down to eat with. My team are uncouth and aggressive drunks. Not fun.
