aaahhh, the internet is a weird and wonderful thing isn't it.
It may or may not apply to this site as we've only recently joined but we too have been contacted by people who have seen our ad on sites that we've never heard of and certainly never advertised on.
I seem to remember though that there is no such thing as bad publicity...??

It's probably simpler than you think......most likely you're receiving unsolicited mail from guys who have found your profile through the local search on SH and are sending standard mails out to everyone, whether or not they've got an ad, in the hope of getting a reply.

Not anymore.... If anybody mails you now... it goes straight into your mail box on the site... not to ur personal email address. So the only place they could of found anything out... is via this site!!

Unless in your profile you have set it as send to email rather than to your pm box, that way they could infact be 'spamming' people (I think)
something weird is happening as one of the sites in question i went there to searchj for our add and found out we was a registered user with the same user name and password as this site. so not sure what the hell is going on lol. not really complaining tho as we had replies from the site

That still sounds a bit underhand if it is going on ...... what happens if you don't want to be associated with other sites?
I guess before we jump to conclusions we should ask site admin to comment on whether they are transferring details to other sites?

I've had a few 'you replied to my ad... but I have now moved to a new site ..... so click hear to contact me' replies so I think its just other sites trying to poach custom.

that sounds like spam e-mai mate... if you set everything to go to your pm box then you can report the people who sent it to you...
