What is it with some people - they arrange to meet up, exchange phone numbers, answer a few texts and then when the time comes - NO SHOW! It is so so so frustrating!
Are we allowed to name and shame on here? Perhaps we should get a list going of these people..........

Damned annoying.....there's been much said about it in the forums over the years, I believe there is another thread running at the moment. It's nearly always guys, even though they might be pretending otherwise. So chat on the phone to confirm if you expect a woman.
I was guilty myself, just a year ago, of not showing up, and the meet was in a pub just 100 yards from my flat. It had become a hot day, I'd slipped back into the flat to take off my jacket and get into something cool, left the flat and pulled the door...Bang, I knew instantly that I'd left my cash, my cards, my telephone and my keys inside the flat. I roused a neighbour and used his phone to try to contact my landlady (spare key)...then I attempted to break in through the door...it took fekin ages...loadsa damage to door/supports, and torn ligaments in my arm for me and a reputation totally shot to bits...inexcusable, I'd stood up a date who had travelled to my local to meet me. Obvious that I could've done it differrently. Too late now.
Your property was secure Skinny, could you not have popped to the pub to explain what was happening?

Well said Sarah.
We've all had experiences of this scenario.
I've been let down on 3 occasions by the same user. I've blocked him now.
That said, It's always males that are at fault! I'll not enter into the debacle but there's the other side also.

It happens, at the end of the day we all have lives and sometimes they get in the way, you just learn to weed out the bad, take a deep breath and start again.
We don`t need to name and shame coz if I had to cancel coz of a family matter that means more to me than a shag then I wouldn`t expect anyone to critisize me for that.

I really wouldn't mind someone cancelling - its when they just don't turn up! That's rude!!
btw - they were both male.
I think for many people the fantasy is wonderful but when it comes to the reality, they bottle it.
We've all had our time wasted, it happens ... as I see it you have 2 choices, learn from it and move on or stop swinging.

I was setting out an example of why you can`t tar all with the same "no show" brush.
As I said before you soon learn to do the weeding as there are some who would rather keep it a fantasy than make it a reality no matter what sex they are.

I have no excuse to offer....I did al the wrong things....I felt shit afterwards, on top of the expense to repair and the physical pain....I did wrong and I apologised...but not accepted, and I can't blame her. One of the few moments and decisions in my life that I'd rather forget. I'd have hated it if I had been on the other side of things. If I arrange to meet someone I intend to show up.
You could always name them on twitter............. wink

Well at least you have put your hands up Skinny. Not that showing you was what I was trying to do, thought there would actually be a perfectly good reason for not doing as I had said. We live and learn eh. Not been in a situation yet where we have had to stand anyone up but it could certainly happen sad Baby sitter prangs the car! Thats us knackered.
