I for one wouldnt want the attention as I'm quite shy face to face (despite what you lot that no me think) , I'd rather get to no/meet people at a pace I'd feel comfy,..
It's a good idea "The Newbie Identifyer" but just not for everyone..

As you know I made the badges (with help with the graphics) for Marcuso's party.
NOT naming name/s but one particular 'newbie' asked for a red L to be put on their badge so peeps could identify them and realise they were new.
That person DID NOT turn up!!!

as im also new on here the thought of going to my first munch is nervous enough so i would apprecate the holding hands thing or even a badge just to ease the way.. the only problem is i dont want to make more work for the organisers xxx

makemehard, we already have badges for everyone and a "hand holder" scheme for newbies that want to take it up..... a word of advice, stop double-clicking the submit button lol ;)

first munches are cool..... all the nerves, excitement...... people getting together socially and spending time together with few agendas and folks not trying to get under your towel all the time....
It's one of the reasons I love this place, it's the social aspect. As soon as that goes and I'm forced to be a hardcore swinger and a player against my will, I won't be happy here.

I showed my regular lover my badge when I saw him a few days later after the Munch in Plymouth.
I threw it down on the table when we were eating dinner at a Harvester Inn .. I've never seen him move so fast in all my time with him ... he grabbed it up .. dropped it to check he really was seeing my arse and then grabbed it up again .. bright red faced and said
"Were all the people wearing badges like that?"
I said yes we all had our avatars on the badges.
He said "No wonder the none SH people in the pub were asking who your group were"

as I hope to go to my frist munch in the new year, will have to lookin to this, as would be nice know I'm nt the only one going for thr first time or find out about the hand holding thing. ain't sure about the badge
anyone going to the Nottingham social meet 28 jan or Notts munch 8th april that will hold my hand or take me under there wing redface
