This not actually directed at Lost but comes about from his numerous apologies today, I've just noticed nearly all his latest threads have been resurrected by himself and he's apologised on nearly each and everyone of them. confused
In this forum is it not right that people can post their 'own' true feelings? Are threads not started in the first place because of what is on your mind at that time? or you want to discuss peoples opinions and beliefs? I'm not standing up for Lost himself - we all have bad days and possibly say the wrong things but I'm standing up for everyone who wants to start a thread.
Respect should be given to people who are authors to threads and they stand by their beliefs. There shouldn't be any need for apologies I would have thought unless the thread is downright discriminatory or rude or horrible to an individual.
If people are now starting to apologise for things they've strongly believe in I'm off out of here. Am I alone in thinking this?
Sounds like Lost's Day of Atonement......... rolleyes
You guys... :gagged:
lol
i noticed that to maybe he is sad about something
Well...
What can I say..? I noticed.. I commented.. I too think its just a sad day for lost...
Just waiting for him to say sorry for being sorry now lol

maybe Lost will shed some light on his reasons....
im a very open minded person and believe that changes of opinion can (and often Need to) happen. For example , in war, how can peace ever be achieved unless people change their views and accept responsibility/change?
How are disputes best settled?..... when one side backs down and maybe accepts that they could have done/need to do things better.
it seems to me that Lost is not apologising for his views, moreover he is apologising for not seeing the furore some of his posts might cause between others and is perhaps saying that it might not have been wise to post in the first place. As in a "let sleeping dogs lie" kinda way.
i for one am very interested as to why this has come about.......... as i think i might have been a catalyst in some way ..........
I have been reading some of the threads and finding the apologies.
Yes he may be feeling a bit out of sorts.
Cheer up Lost, you have apologised enough. wink
With you on that one jaymar
Why should people apologise for an opinion or a belief, why should people have to sometimes justify stuff .... which then makes em look like they're digging holes.
Opinions and beliefs, I feel, are things that we get on our travels through life, for one reason or another we form opinions on certain things - I know that some of my opinions are way off the mark, but they've been formed because of certain, sometimes bad, experiences. Someone telling me I'm off the mark and giving a reasoned argument, ain't necessarily gonna change my opinion on my experience of stuff. The same goes for the bandwagon jumpers, loads of people telling me the same thing, still ain't gonna change it.
There are some things that I don't go with the majority on - and for reasons above, I won't go into conversations about them on the forums, because of the backlash from the "how dare you say that" crowd confused They are personal opinions/feelings that I know is off the mark, I don't want to change other peoples outlook, but maybe would want an understanding that sometimes opinions are different and formed for reasons only known to the person giving them :?
Whoops, gone off on a tangent there :lol2: Forgot to talk about Lost!!!
Love his posts.... I'm still creased up at the liver and onions rotflmao Why the bluddy ell he feels he's got to apologise for something, I haven't a clue.

:therethere: Lost for whatever it is that made you feel the need to do what you have done. I am with everyone else on this though, there is no need at all to apologise for your thoughts and opinions. Nor need you apologise for the direction any thread you have posted has taken, it's all part of what makes forum discussion interesting.

Seconded
Here's an idea!!!
Why don't you just ask him?? confused :? :?
:? :? :? :? :? :? :?

hmmm that wouldnt work us peeps like to gossip first biggrin :D :D
I’m sorry but rolleyes
I think if a lot of peeps actually read all the threads before they gave the answers to some of the questions before they answer, then we wouldn't all be saying I’m sorry all the time  redface
Thats my feeling on the forum site and, yes I don't care if that upsets the locals, it's a
ask and debate thread at the end of the day and we all take out of it what we wish
Mr sweet kiss dunno
Oh ffs rolleyes
Leave him alone for a few days and look what he gets up to smackbottom
FGS behave yourself Mr. Lost, I’m astounded and ashamed that you feel that you need to apologise for airing your views.
Not ashamed of you I hasten to add, but ashamed that a site that I have been proud to be a member of for some considerable time has made you feel it necessary to do so :taz:
You get your posting boots back on and wave a nice big flipa to the PC brigade.
This is a forum, (check out the definition) post and be damned, if people don’t agree all the better as it opens things up for discussion, what’s even funnier, this is an open forum on a “swinging / sex “ website :lol2: am I missing the point here or have we had an invasion of the Puritans while I’ve been away?
Seems to me like ‘nannyism’ is creeping even into my most beloved places
I may not agree with everything you say, but will defend to the death your RIGHT to say it.

.
I am sorry, but I think that no one should apologize for a post. Unless it was in bad taste. Sorry I did not mean to say sorry. Sorry.

ooooh ok Mr Dryness, maybe that's been done? wink
Remember tho, the initial thread was about general apologies and keeping to self beliefs and attitudes. smile :)
