Hving come into the swinging/doggin scene fairly late in life (last coupleof yrs) spending time replying to ads to no avail and prob wont when younger guys are availible . Am just wondering if its time i gave up buy a pipe ... slippers.... and retire from the scene (not that i was ever in it ) and just think about it .... good idea /bad idea ???or is this a common thing for people of my age ????

You can only do what you feel is right for you. If you want to stay, there are plenty of people looking for someone of your age, well all ages really. Many fellow Sh members recently have commented on attending socials and muches as a great way of meeting people, whether for friendship or fun. Maybe you could give it a go. If not then be patient, im sure you will find what your looking for. good luck.

Younger men are great, but there is a lot to be said for an older man with charisma and experience!.. don't give up you maybe should try chatting in chatrooms or joining in this forum a bit more

I don't think that your age is too old. One of my 'lovers' (non sh arrangement) is older than you, and granted it's older than I would 'normally' go for his personality and intelligence overcome that and it's his mind I'm attracted to.
Recently met with a 'younger' more 'standard' variety and to be honest I barely noticed what was going on I was so bored.
My advice is to persevere - go to a social, join the forums and send PMs to anyone who takes your fancy. Attraction is a lot more about physical appearances - I'm learning that slowly!!

We are not far behind you in the "age" stakes, and have never considered ourselves too old..mature maybe !!!!
As others have commented, get your name down for a few socials and get to mingle and meet people. We find its much easier to get to know people in a social setting, rather than set up a "meet" in a pub etc, with a virtual stranger.
Persevere on getting to know people socially, by making new friends, you will find physical involvement will happen naturally!!

Age is just a number anyway and completely irrelevent. It's the person you are that ccounts for everything. I am just as happy with someone older as someone younger, I just insist that any potential lover is someone I have hit it off with on a talking to each other and getting along level.

def dont consider myself old ... think i am looking at other peoples thoughts when there is a choice between a 50 odd year old or a 30 odd year old ..the one picked is younger one .. and prob unerstandable from a ladies point of view ... lets hope that my cracking personality attracts a few !!!!
