Like a number of your contributors, who I must agree with, why are there so many time wasters on this site. I cannot understand the point of all the chat and promisses of arranging a meet and then NOTHING!!!!. I joined this site to meet like minded people and have some genuine "fun". Okay, there have been a few really nice, genuine people, but most are just messers. Why do they do it? If your not interested, why starty soemthing you do not intyend seeing tbhrough??? I too am in another site which does not suffer from this problem.

Thread merge anyone?! rolleyes
There's a steamroom at the top of the page when you want to have a whinge about something. It's a pretty good function cause it means that the rest of us don't have to listen to the moaning if we don't want to. We know it's all contained in one place rather than in every thread on the front page.
You get out what you put in. wink

In all honesty I would say this statement you make is utter bollox in all probability.
Timewasters? they are a fact of life. Some get pleasure from the extra interaction they get from trying to be who they aren't and yes some are sad but in the end knowledge is power and you get to know whats good and bad

I have to ask what is your definition of a timewaster though?
From my experience what a male calls a timewaster and what a woman or couple call one are completely different ..
and how much time was wasted? was the planning so tight you didn't have time to fart?
I have to ask what is your definition of a timewaster though?

We all have our own idea of what a timewaster is, for us it is anyone who wastes our time be it 2 minutes or 2 hours.
We have experienced all types, from the single males who send us mails when our profile clearly states that we don't want them to contact us to the couples who mail us telling us they want to meet then, when you say yes, they dissapear into oblivion.
When we do arrange a meet we pull out the stops, prepare a buffet, get the extra drinks in, bathe and dress to impress etc.
The amount of times we have had to throw away most of the buffet is annoying, annoying but one of life's annoyances that is part and parcel of the scene, we get a little upset at the time but don't let it ruin our enjoyment of the lifestyle or our week.
Our most hated timewasters are the simple ones, those that don't even bother to read our profile, that means that they will contact us even though we are too old for them, too young for them, smokers, cannot travel or whatever thier personal criteria is and is not what we are. We respect people's criteria but it is annoying when people contact us and we have to reply saying "but we are outside your meeting criteria.
And our biggest annoyance comes from people who try to add us to thier friends list when we haven't even spoken, mailed each other, met or anything else, What is the thrill of having a huge friends list of people you don't even talk to ?
But it's all part of swinging and yes, people do get annoyed about it and yes people do like to let off steam about it, but that doesn't mean that they are letting it ruin thier lives or put them off being on swinging sites.

Is this just not a part of life though? Is it really something that is worth the time effort of complaining about?
If you owned a shop, would you be complaining about the people coming in with no real intention of buying anything?
Being on a site like this you are advertising yourself, and you will always get people responding to that advertising that you really do not want to.
i got called a timewaster because i wanted to chat and get to know someone first n not just meet n fuck ffs he was rather rude and insulting so as it was i was rather glad i decided to waste his time before we met

Ask the people who have wasted your time dunno
Get over it, move on and stop whining. Or stay on your other site - maybe you'll meet Skanders there.
Maybe the boggest time wasters on here are the ones that a) repeat threads others have already posted or b) repeat themselves on different threads.
Yes, it is rude to arrange a meet and fail to turn up/communicate as to why. It has happened to me. But it is a well known phenomenon. It has been covered ad naueum in threads. The advice remains the same - be careful who you arrange to meet with and if the worst happens get over it. It's not like there aren't darned sight worse things that can happen in one's life.
Can I arrange a meet with all of you please....we probably wont turn up but we'd like to arrange it anyway....oh and could you pass this invitation on to everyone you know

speaking of timewasters. why have you got straight male on your profile if youre looking for bi couples?
Bruce that does bring up a very good point .. Why do lots of couples and single profiles having looking for males or couples and then when you message you get a reply saying not looking for single males? Is that them being timewasting? Because of there poorly written profile am I not having my time wasted?

I agree with Bouncy, of course it depends on your perspective, and how you like to play. I personally like to get to know people a bit before I agree to do anything further and some people might think that was time wasting if I decided not to pursue things further ( as bouncy did ) but I think determining whether or not you want to play is not time-wasting but part of the "dating" process. There's no call to be rude just because you don't click if you're playing you should be grown up enough to realise you aren't gonna "do it" for everyone.
My definition of a time waster is someone who make promises or commitments which they don't keep. My play-time is limited so to be let down by someone who is thoughtless is annoying. I can handle folk having doubts or nerves or just plain bottling out as long as they're honest with me.

Maybe the woman being bi does not matter to him and he doesnt much care if the male is bi either. So would be compatible with a bi couple with single males on their profile.
So just Dave then..I'm sick of this site ....full of timewasters....I may have to storm off in a huff
Did I read that repeating threads is a waase of time ?
I guess it is time to shut down the forums then because everything has been discussed over the years.
Or maybe people new to the site would like to discuss things that were discussed months or years ago
Maybe people's views have changed about certain topics as they have gained more experience in the scene
Maybe people who have already had enough of discussing a subject should not open the repeat subjects and move on to something that does interest them.
Just a thought lol

 Agree with your comments 100% .... bolt
Was discussing this very subject at lunchtime - what is a time waster ?
To me it is someone that doesn't turn up for a meet and doesn't let me know or text 10 mins before we are due to meet and I'm on the way - grrrr annoying that !
I am always happy to chat - but not always happy to meet - is it considered wasting peoples time just chatting?

I would reply to that, but then again I might just be wasting my time.. lol
i tend to think that its a bit pointless looking for blame. it seems like the moment for a connection has passed with some people and they didn't see it. thereafter they are both wasting their own time really.
