To Quote or not to Quote??

Can any of you experienced forum posters let me into the secret of taking a Quote from one posting and placing it in my own posting? I have tried several times and cannot seem to do it.

edit out the dits you don't want and your away! biggrin

Or, rather than use the quote button, you can copy and paste the text you want to quote and surround it by the quote code as follows....
