OK love it or hate it it's back.....
11 weeks of it and if you have missed it the 'housemates' this year can be summed up as follows (and anyone who knows and has met me will know what follows is NOT prejudicial - my arse still has the marks to prove i have nothing against anyone ;) )
The housemates are :-
1 Gay conservative coloured guy
11 Chavs
and
well 1 IT - i cant think of anything else to say lol
OH well here we go
Am I the only person who has never seen any of these type of programmes?
Watching people go about their daily business, including all their personal hygeine routines, petty bickerings and generally showing off to the cameras would do nothing for me at all I'm afraid confused

Me neither but someone here likes it.... i just watch bits to take the piss lol
Thank God for Sky TV, apart from E4 that is.
Otherwise I'd have to go outside and enjoy some fresh air and meet other people lol
They should do Big Brother's Russian Roulette though. Every week, instead of getting nominated, one of the housemates is shot and helps society in general. Reckon that'd get more people tuning in

Neither do we and we always thought we must be the only people in the country who pay for a TV licence and only turn the bloody thing on about twice a year confused
It's nice to know we're not alone in our tv free existance. Think of the fun we're having while everyone else sits in front of that box in the corner and has to suffer some inconsequential *dumbing down of the masses* drivel being shown on every channel day after day wink

bblb is worth watching tho for the sexy dermot as im sure a certain lady will back me up on him he just oozes sex appeal wouldent mind being locked in the diary room with him

Absofuckinlutely!
I LOVE Big Brother, Celeb Shag Island, I'm a Celeb, Wife Swap and all that bollox. It's great. They're usually all total tossers who give me many hours of entertainment and remind me how blummin marvelous I am.
Usually when people start a conversation about reality TV, there's always this big debate about how it's not reality cos they know the cameras are there .. blah blah. For one thing, you can't film people without their knowledge and consent 'cos it's unethical and two, it's not meant to be real life. It's just showing you how people act in bizarre conditions.
I don't care if they are wannabe TV presenters, models, whatever. Good for them that they don't mind making a complete gnats arse of themselves on national television for a slice of fame and modest wealth. I'd probably do the same if that's what I really wanted out of life, but I don't.
I love BB and I don't care! :P
redface surprisedops:
Totally hooked on BB, don’t know why??? apart from the job (having to be able to psychoanalyse on the hoof) guess the job has turned me into a people watcher
need to know what makes people tick dunno
sad innit?
I hate Big Brother with a passion mad :x :x :x :x .................
................. but I errrrrm, have a errrrmmmm, friend who thinks he may love the programme. Each year, I , oops, errr, he says he is not going to watch it and every year he does. I bet he watched it tonight (what was that bird with the broomstick all about???) (and wasn't it good when they booo'd that posing bloke??!!!) confused :? :? :? :? :? wink
Whether you love it or hate it, reality TV is here to stay (for now).
Don't you think the reason it's such big business is because it's so popular?
What about the voyeurs amongst you? Isn't that just another version of the Big Brother syndrome? dunno
I know I watch it half hoping to see something sexual going on. And there's more than a little psychology involved in picking the housemates to make sure they attract an audience wink

You're not alone guys, I suppose I watch about an hour of TV a week. The only decent stuff on is the BBC kids programs for the under 5's which my 4 year old loves.
I can't see the point of reality TV to be honest or of soaps. (Which ought to be called "worse than reality" TV)
Roger the Dragon cool
i'll be watching it, theres some big boobs this year lol
got the online 24/7 stream wink
dont care who wins just want to see them all act like dicks, which they always do.
oh I love BB
and this lot are gonna be fun to watch
sparks flying already well daggers anyway

No your not the only ones to pay for a license and only watch thing twice a year. Even then its usually "guests" (eg adult kids returning home) who swich the thing on!!!
Anything worth watching (eg the good hisory programmes) comes out on video or dvd sooner or latter!!
I certainly wont be missing BB, if i want tl see a load of half wits scwabbeling amongs themselves I can go into town on a Saturdays night!!

SH big brother
sorry for the hijack!!!!

I like Big Brother.... although this year there doesn't seem to be anyone you could class as "normal" - I know there is no such thing as normal but where do they get these people? I've never in my life met anyone like any of them! I've led a sheltered existence maybe!
I always say every year that I won't watch it but it's addictive! Especially when thats all anyone talks about at work, down the pub etc etc.
I don't really care for the reasons or think about why I watch it - I suppose I just watch it cos it's mostly enjoyable "veg out, couch potato" kind of TV that you don't have to think about.
Completely and utterly addictive!!!!!! I love it!!
i still can not believe that they have made yet another series, i mean how many more times can they continue to trawl out the same shit and get away with it.
Well, while ever we watch it I guess. lol

Same here lol
I know in theory I hate it but I'm always fascinated by the arguments, love affairs, two facedness (esp between women). I love watching how they look at each other and what tey do to get attention. I think it's such a bizarre group this year and absolutely loved leslie's look of horror as far more attractive girls came in the house!
But who's acting? Derek just can't be real and that white witch is def faking it.
I always find myself watching it, although i think they're a load of useless wannabies..This year looks like it could be a real laugh they've got a few characters in there.

No you are not
I can't believe they manage to drag this out over 11 weeks. I'd rather watch the test card than watch a group of people with no discernible talent making fools of themselves. Most of the time, they are just sitting around or sleeping and this is supposed to be entertainment.
I watch television to be informed, educated and entertained and find none of these with any of the so-called "reality" programs. They are just an excuse for cheap television and this is one of the reasons why I rarely switch it on these days.
At least I can rest assured that the majority of the BB contestants will eventually disappear back into obscurity where they belong.
It's only day two and already the egos have started to flare against one another. I think C4 could be irresponsible for putting so many highly volatile people together in one house. Last year there was the quite frightening fight, and this year looks as if it could erupt again.
Scary, but still addictive!!!
