I'm not sure about that. And that's one of the reasons for wanting to find out. The way I read it (website/booklet) it said something along the lines of "see buddies that are on your map" I was thinking/hoping that it meant the map as in card, as opposed to actual "screen" at the time; sort of thing.
One of the buttons on the Plus/Buddies screen is "Show Buddy on Map" but without any Buddies :cry: - I can't test it.
So . . . . . . I need someone to be my Buddie for half an hour (or longer) to test the system.
HLB runs and maintains a "dammiemap" (at work and home) of where I am during the day/week. I think, out of curiosity, checking up on me; and incase she gets the flexibility to visit any of her sites when I'm going to be around. And a couple of weeks ago, we managed a layby meet as we were driving along roads close close to each other, but it got a little 'complicated' as we tried to explain to each other exactlywhere were were
and tried to decide which road we should both turn onto for quick hello.And . . . . . if it works, and anyone is interested; it (TomTom Buddies) might make a possible upcoming competition typething a bit of fun.
Somebody sort of "lent" me a RoadAngel 6000 (??) the week before last, and a TomTom One (GB) last week to play with and "trial" to see which I preferred and to see if they were of any practicaluse to me personally. (I've always poopoo'd them - for me) But having spent some time in a car with one, I have to say - they are actually far better than the early ones, and TomTom seems to be winning at the moment.
I'm sort of thinking of getting one for HLB for Xmas (she already knows) for when she's out and about anyway. (Here to Deeside - 4 hours instead of 2 :roll: due to BlondeDiversion )

the thing with Tom Tom buddies.....is its actually free.....and what it does is let you know if any of your friends are in your area so you can meet up.....so i guess its like msn .....you have to invite people into your buddies list.

I've got a new Tom Tom but no Buddies so didn't sign up now I've realised that all I need to do is sign up for the service and then offer my details to other people on the pretext that they can check if there's is working by spotting me and hey presto suddenly got loads of Buddies now why didn't I think of that earlier

But it's a multi bay RDC, and the containers have 4 just for them; I look and there's only 3 in front; so that's like 1 really :bounce:

Half past fucking FIVE, I eventually pull out. Sheffield, Liverpool, Bradford all gone tits up. While I'm chatting to a mate on the phone, he tells me he's got a 12 o'clock Bradford out of Liverpool

Anyway - TC says the Sheffield will load at 8 am tomorrow, then he'll sort me something else out :roll:
So I pull out and head for Sheffield, thinking I'll go find the place, offer them the box now if they want it; or failing that, run to Woodall to park up for the night.
All goes well, but they can't now load it until tomorrow.
I've been playing with TomTom all week.
I'd already told HLB that although I was in Sheffield, I wouldn't be able to "lose the mileage" and come home on such a short run :sad: :cry:
So I ask TomTom for a route to Woodall MSA and she says it's 19.4 miles. Out of interest, I ask for a route home. 17.9 miles :shock: :shock: :shock:
