It's the leaves.....they can even stop trains lol
we had to cut big branch off one of our tress to get a signal cos it was in the direct line of the dish!!
Needn't worry Flower if you aint watched TV for weeks at a time then what you got now should be more than sufficient biggrin
I could have sworn Sky was transmitted from sattelites. Correct me if I'm wrong - but aren't they supposed to be up in the, forgive the pun, sky?
Or is it all a con and they are using the old BBC transmitters. biggrin

Sort of on the same subject as another thread ....so merge them if needs be ..
The man from Sky came round to sort out the satellite dish at the new house and went away saying we couldn`t have Sky cos there were too many trees in the way !!!! WTF ??
We are in the middle of 20 acres of open fields and have a 400 acre deer park next door !!! There are a lot of trees in the immediate vicinity of the house but surely a bit of cable could sort it out !
I`ve seen dishes in the middle of very built up areas ...what is it with trees ???

What a lovely place you live in, Flower - who would want poxy TV with all that!
Plim
the angle and position of the dish is vital to recieve a clear signal for sky.
if its installed wrong the slightest weather change (rain, dark cloudy skies etc) can stop a signal being recieved.
trees in the way is a valid reason so your not being fobbed off.
This thread really made me chuckle lol I'm now going to find the clause in the sky contract that will no doubt state that interference of signal at any point is due to trees. I'll then use it to explain to my kids why Hannah Montanna (in the same episode for the millionth time) has gone fuzzy after I've pulled the plug out of the back of the box

Will it work for sport too?

Well Kaz...Tinks' logic says anything that has a green background ie football, snooker, cricket, golf etc would be affected by green things ie trees...so by jove I think it would! :bounce:

They are way up in the sky...over the equator. So living so far north we have to point the dish across the planet.
