Thank you, oh blonde but relatively sane one!
As a qualified Dr Who nut I just loved the different aspects which Captain Jack brought to Dr Who and have thoroughly enjoyed the more adult content of Torchwood. The episode where Owen and the woman from '50s had an extremely sexual relationship had some of the most sexy scenes I've seen from the BBC.
Don't see what's wrong with the term 'gayed up' - clumsly though it may be. I understood it completely.

eeh up lass.
I think Captain Jack (John Barrowman) successfully sums up the human race. I love the idea that if we get into space, as a race, we will travel the universe shagging or shooting everything else. Seems like what we do on this planet so why not on everywhere else.
Captain Jack's attitude is the modern take on good old Captain Kirk who was happy to shag anything.

I used to like you!

Another Torchwood fan here redface
I actually found the combination of Dr Who style script and storyline combined with such a high level of sexual content a bit weird for the first couple of episodes, they didn't seem to go well together, especially because the first two episodes appeared to contain every possible fantasy of a pubsecent boy lol
But, it turned out to be a brilliant series, but I thought of it it as "Bied up" rather than "Gayed up"
Yay for Owen, I like him, he seems like a very dirty boy

He didn't gay it up as you put......Russell T Davis did......the main writer for Doctor Who,and wether people agree with what he has done to the show.....he has dragged it into the 21st Century and its more popular now than ever before!.....As for Torchwood this show is aimed towards adults.....and is not the first show to break the bounderies of a gay kiss on the BBC.

I didnt say it was the first gay kiss on the BBC. Torchwood wouldnt have been so brilliant and amazingly gayed up if it wasnt fo Barrowman, the writer just wrote the show, barrowman made it gay x
