Torrent / Azereus Techie Help Reqd

Hiya,
I have a wireless router installed at home and want to download stuff using BitTorrent with the Azereus client.
Ive been told I need to set up port forwarding or something to get it work..
Any help - setup guide would be appreciated

Completely beyond me but why not ask on a techie board? You've more chances of advice!

submerge said router in a brownian motion liquid (thats tea to laymen)., may mot cure the problem, but makes a very refreshing beverage.
but sorry cant help on the techy question...
has walkthrough guides for a lot popular routers.
You will need to log into the router.
From there set up port forwarding, generally for torrents
you will need to use 6881 - 6889.
Forward those "outside" ports to the same 6881-6889 "inside" ports.
Then in Azureus go to settings and it will ask you your port range / number!
In there you will need to put 6881 or 6881-6889.
Beware some better torrent sites block those ports as they
are the most common and are used by leechers smile
