Not forgetting:
Travel Inn
Premier Travel Inn
Holiday Inn Express

They all look pretty much the same - as a friend of mine says ..."same room, different biscuits".
Noooo - Premier Travel Inn's are by far the superior ones... especially Premier Travel Inn Metros lol
Huge beds and at just the right height for doggy style shafting... ooops, thinking out loud again redface
Ahhhh - it is the Metro ones with the big beds - I wondered why it was a regular double the other night confused

Has anyone had a problem takin "guests" into a travel inn?
If we book one room and turn up as 2 couples, or if another couple turn up to "visit" for a few hours obviously they will be suspiscious!!
outdoors is getting too cold!!

They really don't care if you have 'visitors'

You clearly have not been in a munch hotel and had to do the key card trick!! lol
And run the gauntlet of the night manager & clip board with hotel guest names on it, who was religously ticking names and numbers off.
redface can you tell we are new to this!!
I have worked in hotels for years, and as the rates have been per person, only the people on the check-in card are allowed in the room, (though not massively strict, if a family member wants to pop to say hello thats fine)
or, if two rooms are booked and all four guests sleep in just one room, thats fine too.
what i meant was if we booked a room and invited someone in so there would be 4 adults in the room, is nobody bothered?

generally not........most hotels have different staff on different shifts........so the person on the desk has no idea whether you are a resident or not as you may have checked in before they came on duty........genrally as long as you look like you're ment to be there (and not causing a scene etc) they won't blink an eyelid.......
the only time that hotels that hotels are strict about who comes in is if they are in an area where they have problems with street girls etc coming in.........or if they have someone important staying........

or when city centre hotels hire a door team & if ya name isnt down there's no way you're getting in, unless you alter the name slightly, suddenly become transgendered in 10 seconds flat, act very very pissed, need your mobile delivered to your room because you left it in the pub or hatch elaborate escape plans when the manager knocks on the door asking to inspect your room for 'additional guests' :scared:
:giggle:
The Ibis at Stratford has the most wonderful third of a circle glass fronted shower in a wet-room bathroom....ideal for those waterbabies amongst us

We too have stayed at travel lodge in sheffield, no complaints whatsoever, were there not so long ago and they are comfortable, reasonably priced and they don't frown upon you coming in looking bedraggled from a night at a near by swinging club!

We have a friend who works as a doorman at a city centre Holiday Inn, and they have a very strict "If your names not down you're not getting in" policy...........but that may only be specific for that hotel, rather than the chain.
