Trouble getting in to the chat room? read this first.

Boo all the above about logging into the chat room...but it still doesn't want me !!
Rechecked name/password etc...also tried to activate again from the emailed link...but told already activated... but trying to log in it says I'm not registered....anythoughts please?/ :cry:

Really trying hard to get into the chatroom.I've followed the dummies guide to step 5 but no email comes to "activate".I've tried 3 or 4 times and thats as far as I help out?

Starchat will be able to help you if you're not getting the e-mail.
Join the Starchat help channel by entering the following command:
/join #starchat

can't get in.I enter all the required info,then i encounter a box in which i type"join #swinginginheaven".Next to that box is a click box"configure"or another which is"disconnect"(I think).Where do i go from there?Sorry if I'm being thick. redface

Have tried before but still dont get it. typed in join etc but nothing HELP

Well you must have managed it somehow cos I've just seen you in there. Care to shed any light on what the problem was?

i had ptoblems all day trying to get in. I seem to have cured the problem by downloading the latest version of java

i've been trying to log in but it keeps saying i'm banned becuase of some ftp thing or something! wot's that all about?! i've never hurt a soul!!!!!! sad

Maybe you've been kicked off the server by Starchat? You're not allowed to transfer files with certain file extensions, ie .exe files, for fear of spreading viruses. Have you been trying to transfer files?
If not then you'll have to be a little more specific about the message you're getting, "or something" doesn't really help much.

From the detailed description you have given of the exact problem, I think you may be bleeding onto your screen. Please wipe it down, check all your bandages are firmly in place and try again.
Seriously though, it's almost impossible to provide useful advice if you don't explain the exact problem, complete with any error messages that you are getting.

Been a happy user of the chatroom for quite a while, but now every time I try to join I get told I have been "autokilled by jinxi- still not quite in touch with reality, are ya?"....
Lovely.... smug AND insulting.
Any thought on how to get round this?? Even trying to register a new nickname gets the same irritating message.....

We too have had probs gettin into the chat room.....We fins sometimes tou can get straight in other times it norm takes 2 or 3 attemps sheshhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh neva mind eh we keep trying xxx northlincscpl

sorry to bother people, but I am really finding it difficult to get into the chatroom. Have entered all the necessary info, but still can't get in. I'm starting to get paranoid. Can anyome help? Thanks
