In the house on my own all day today, I decided to do something radical. Ish.
I took Aerosmith out :scared: of my CD player, and grabbed the nearest thing from the never-listened-to pile of CD's in the rack under the computer desk.
I ended up with Simply Red's greatest hits"- an album I've not listened to in many moons!
I loved it! From the '80s social commentary of "Money's too tight to mention" to the heart wrenching "If you don't know me by now." There are a few upbeat tracks which had me hoover-boogying too.
Try it- let us in on what you've dug out, and inspire the rest of us. Remember those poor, neglected CD's, or indeed vinyls, and give them an airing. You may well enjoy the nostalgia trip!
I did this a while ago, I'd boxed up all my cd's to redecorate. When I unpacked them it took me a while to get them back in order rolleyes played some I'd not heard in ages. Great fun biggrin

maybe we should organise a vinyl munch - complete with a good DJ and decks ???
:!:

most of my vinyl is heavy rock have all the early Black Sabbath stuff 13 albums
Have a ton of stuff my brother left me i keep meaning to sell ranging from really good to absolute crap rotflmao
I so love listening to the old vinyl, anything from the 70's or 80's. It sounds so much better with the crackles and hearing the needle drop. Sometimes we will have a quiet night it, get all the old singles out and put them onto CD and for the next few weeks drive round in the car listening to them!
Fantastic stuff, and if you do this vinyl munch, put our names down now, no matter where it is wink
thinking of vinyl, I remember listening to an album, and realllly liking it, at least six times before realising thatI had it at the wrong speed...
cant do that with a cd.
*loop* it was, 12" EP... 45rpm and I had it al 33...
still have it too. (anyone know them?)
most of my collection is old or retrospectively collected now anyway... but a yearly dose of Space Ritual does the *hairs on the back of the neck* thing
maaaan

Do yourself a favour Winchy, chuck that lame assed crap in the bin and listen to the original by Harold Melvin & the Bluenotes. It 1000% better than that souless tripe peddled by the ginger gimp and his friends (as well as the other tracks they murdered) wink
I bought and ate a wispa today, last time i had one of those was YEARS ago.
The slogan on the box they were in said
'some things are better left in the 80's.............some things arn't'
it was a propper taste sensation.
RPM- how did I just know you'd say that? wink
De-sade....smiling! Whooooo! Job done biggrin
Meaty- not Mick Hucknall's no.1 fan then dunno (agreed though- the original is best, but not at the front of my CD box lol)
Firelizard- most of it was fine hun. We won't mention the Spice Girls.
Wouldn't vinyl be rather chewy :dunno:
Finally; is it true? Are Wispa's back? :bounce:
Dont know if ther are 'back' maybe a marketing ploy before they become main stream agian...........
who knows

Summer of Love themed wink
I was reminded a young lass this week. She drove a VW beetle, which she called Alexander, but then she was a beautiful people to.
The song was Alexander Beetle, the young lady was a fan of the singer.
