In the house on my own all day today, I decided to do something radical. Ish.
I took Aerosmith out :scared: of my CD player, and grabbed the nearest thing from the never-listened-to pile of CD's in the rack under the computer desk.
I ended up with Simply Red's greatest hits"- an album I've not listened to in many moons!
I loved it! From the '80s social commentary of "Money's too tight to mention" to the heart wrenching "If you don't know me by now." There are a few upbeat tracks which had me hoover-boogying too.
Try it- let us in on what you've dug out, and inspire the rest of us. Remember those poor, neglected CD's, or indeed vinyls, and give them an airing. You may well enjoy the nostalgia trip!
When I saw the title of this thread, I was mentally going through the names of women from here I like....
I'm trying something old later........STORMY :giggle:
funny that!!! got a few quite days due to lack of work (anyone want to keep me compan ? )
Doing a tidy up with cd's and found JJ Cale so had to put it on :smoke:
thinking of vinyl, I remember listening to an album, and realllly liking it, at least six times before realising thatI had it at the wrong speed...
cant do that with a cd.
*loop* it was, 12" EP... 45rpm and I had it al 33...
still have it too. (anyone know them?)
most of my collection is old or retrospectively collected now anyway... but a yearly dose of Space Ritual does the *hairs on the back of the neck* thing
maaaan
lp
I bought and ate a wispa today, last time i had one of those was YEARS ago.
The slogan on the box they were in said
'some things are better left in the 80's.............some things arn't'
it was a propper taste sensation.
Dont know if ther are 'back' maybe a marketing ploy before they become main stream agian...........
who knows
