Actually, I have a major thing at the moment for heavily tattooed psychobilly girls in the 50's / 60's style dresses... and those rockabilly guys with the quiffs and the skull tattoos, too. So glad this look is making a comeback, even if I can't carry it off.

No don't think so, my hairdresser was saying the "mary quant" look, I'm pleased anyway that the shorter hairstyles are more popular as mine is :lol:

Yes, it's been building up steadily the past several years, so I'm sure it's about to go overground. A lot people moved on to the rockabilly look when it seemed that the spooky kids were taking over all the goth clubs...

Fishnet stockings & suspenders
V high stilleto heels or high heeled thigh length FMB's
I really like this whole 40's/50's Burlesque look. See Dita Von Tease & Immodesty Blaize. Saw them on Channel 4's faking it. Great prog.

I so want to go to a Burlesque show. They come up in Brum from time to time at the Glee Club and at the Electric Cinema. If anybody fancy's a social one night at one let me know and I'll watch out for it. Tickets can booked online and tel. May offshoot this into a seperate thread when a show next comes round.

I'm a burlesque performer- I loooooove Dita von Teese, i think she is absolutely gorgeous!
Has anyone got her book?
There is a pic of her tied up in chinese ropes on a table, and it is soooo hot!
I'll try and find the link if I can - I love it!
Just wish i had a giant bird cage or martini glass for my act, and I wish I could afford the actual vintage clothing, rather than the 'fake' vintage clothing! hehehe!
