Unverification

There's people about that would like us to be verified.
i.e. if yer not gonna turn up yer a shit.
OK - so I have an alternative suggestion.
Why don't we all become 'Unverified'. Then we'd all have to work hard at getting to know eachother and sort of earn our credits over a long period of time.
(Oooops - that's what we do in the forum now innit? TeeHee - what a blast!)
Alternatively we can take our chance with making a quick fix contact, who may turn out to be an 'Unverified Wanker', who doesn't turn up.
Simple innit!

Well, being verified means you're genuine, so being unverified must mean you're fake - a genuine fake. But if by accident you get unverified twice, does that mean you're a fake fake? Well then you'd be genuine wouldn't you, i.e. verified, so the process would have to start all over again! :confused:

i hate this thread, but having been given the opportunity, i would like to verify that i'm not prepared to verify, in any way, shape, or form, that anyone has the right to verify, to the unverified, that i may, or may not, be a verified, or unverified, member of this site? confused

i am absolutely not prepared to verify, or unverify, or altogether have no opinion whatsoever on the subject, that i may, or may not be, be in a position to validate, or otherwise vouch for, my verified, or unverified status, or that of my verified, or unverified friends / acquaintances!

we discuss this with everybody we have met ....and agree the way forward ....it`s a trust thing !!

I think it's indiscreet to say who you've been with.
I think it does go on in an informal verification process.

verification / validation / vouching for does naturally go on. of course it does! ;)
verification onsite, and offsite, are two different things, and it's not always about "gossiping?"
i'm a bit out of touch with the rumour mill, but trust me, there's a massive rumour mill on any swinging site i've ever been a member of, both online, and offline. there's any number of little black books, and people talk? we all know it does.
the point with the verification thing is, you can't ask the site to do it all for you? it's not within admin / mod's remit to moderate all the little personal relationships members might have when it comes to timewasters / shagging partners / potential meets / etc.
it's a personal thing. the site facilitates it, but you can't expect the site to hold your hand through the whole thing? you've got to be a bit adult about it, and work all the ins and outs for yerself? if you can't do that, well, you prolly shouldn't be here at all? confused

In my way of thinking I would never discuss the in and outs (groan) of we've "been with" But as we are quite actively socially then if asked if we know of someone we've met socially, as long as that person has no objection then I'm quite happy to say that at least they exist.
As regards those we have met "met" then usually we will of met them socially too. So to verify that they are indeed who they are, I have no problem with. I/we would in no way say anything about our actual Swings.
If by verification one only means "do they swing" then that wouldn't be forthcoming from Lost

anyways, verification, whether official or unofficial, does go on, its a natural part of life.
Women (particularly when the el vino collapso is flowing) when they get together have always talked about whether someone is 'fit' who was a great shag or the size of another fellas cock and blah blah blah.....believe me fellas it does go on!!
Not just confined to the fairer sex, fellas have always felt the need to pass on who gave them the best head, who had the biggest tits etc and give marks out of 10.
Our maturity, one would hope would bring more discretion, but, it cant stop the unnoficial verification that goes on.....sometimes words are not needed, a pointed look or facial expression can convey heaps of information, at a social or munch, where members are all meeting up.
Often times, it can be a bad thing such as when people are wrongly labelled as timewasters, but they have a very genuine excuse for not turning up to a meet, or turning up to a meet and not playing, or for whatever reason, a person decides to leave bad 'feedback' (pinching a term from my fave auction site) Bad feedback can be left when a friendship/relationship has gone sour, or because personalities clash or a thousand and one genuine or ungenuine (is that a word??) reasons.
But it can be a good thing such as warning people about an undesireable (and yes there are some on this site) such as someone who is very very pushy, or turns out to be a cyber stalker, someone who is all mouth and no action or just an out and out tosser.
But the question is....which is the best.....official or un official verification... onsite, in print style, or unofficial gossip style??
But I digress....back to Tuneys original point......unverification.....isnt that what Roy Castle said you needed if you wanted to be a record breaker?? (ONLY people of a certain age will understand that comment!!)

I personally have spoken to some guys that say if you want verification speak to this couple and that couple and has mentioned names. This was a complete turn off for me, as I felt if they were telling me who they had met and had sex with, my name would be next. I like to keep myself private and dont want my name banded about for no guys verification. I go by my own judgement of people, it works for me.

Steve's right - it's indiscreet to tell someone who you've played with, I do think it's ok to say you "oh I know (or spoke to) such and such they're a lovely couple" but it's wrong to say "I know such and such we've played with them.. and guess what.. sssshhhhh".
We've never been asked to verify anyone and as far as I'm concerned I don't think anyone has asked for verification on us - we tend to gain people's trust by getting to know them for a while before meeting anyway.
On the other hand, if someone doesn't like me or wants to pull me to bits and TRY and drag me down, I'm not that arsed, worse things in life can happen :roll:
