Up.....Up And Away....

Has anyone ever been in a hot air balloon confused

:
I'm due to go on a balloon flight this afternoon (weather permitting but cant see much problem there) and was just wondering if anyone else had been in one...
What can I expect (apart from going up in the air and being at the mercy of the wind)...

I have done it.... peaceful... amasing. Wonderful.
what I would say is take a camera that isn't part of your mobile phone as you are not allowed to have a mobile switched on. (I didn't get any pics cos I didn't know that)
It is just lovely, lovely, lovely. Post some pics when you get back.

yes I have very peaceful until the burner goes. if its not to windy you should have a long flight and an easy landing. great fun enjoy cool

yes hubby bought me one as a bday pressie a few years ago now
it was absolutely wonderful n once yr up there there isnt any wind n the views r amazing!
anyone who hasnt dun this should..go for it!!
oh n u get champagne when u land and a certificate too! biggrin

I really dont like to talk about him when hes not here but I do know what he enjoys( i think) Its just he will have a job from that far up.

I've always wanted to go sky diving.....seems rather appropriate as a lot of people tell me to take a running jump....... rolleyes

I've done the lot - mostly in my youth... sky diving, bungee jumping, and eventually got to go up in a hot air balloon too.
The balloon ride was the best of the lot I think - lots of fun with none of the stomach-churning nerves of the others.
Mine was early in the morning one February in the middle of Derbyshire. Beautiful views with the mist just clearing. It was in the days before camera-phones, so I had a traditional camera (otherwise I'd probably have done the same as Splendid), but to be honest I was too busy simply enjoying it to take many pics.
Anyhow - you've got me thinking I need to go again....
But enough of me - you'll have done it byu now, so how come you're not back on here posting about how good it was?

I bought my dad a balloon ride for his 60th birthday. He booked it about 15 times and it was cancelled due to the shite Scottish weather each time. Then there was foot and mouth and that put paid to that! By the time he was 64 he still hadn't done it so we got a refund and he went up in a glider instead. lol

I have another friend who's done it... he loved it but he did crash into a tree! :shock: The video was very funny! :lol:

I wanna do it again !!!!!!!
It was bloody marvelous.....
Perfect conditions (according to the pilot) ...
Silky smooth take off,flight and landing....
I can recomend it to anyone.....
Got close on 50 pics so will have to work out which ones to post....

....mind you - if you had a nice smooth landing, then you have to go back and do it PROPERLY!!! lol
