PMSL - I've just reminded myself of nearly spitting my toys out of the pram one day with a guy (arse) that did it to me rotflmao
I might go wandering down memory lane to see if I can find it.
There were a couple of good points brought up in the thread about how not to post.
I need to do something or I'm gonna bore you all shitless with a short tale of how Number 1 cat has just brought a live blackbird in, as a gift to his new Mum.
Then promptly let the fecker lose in the lounge mad
Cue "dad" to have to catch the fucking thing ! ! ! ! ! !

I remember that! It was the one and only time I've actually been scared of you! redface lol
But fair enough, people really should think before posting real names.
I'm happy for people to use my real name at munches/socials but not on the forum or chat room or anywhere else!
I do find it hard at munches/socials though - I never know whether to use someone's real name or their user name, it feels strange calling someone by their user-name but some prefer it that way....
...I usually forget both the next day though!

Depends what their user name is.
It's alright calling someone dammie or smokerjim, but "fancy a pint cock4pussyy might scare the barstaff"

It happens, I did it once to mik69 when I let slip that his real name was she***, I won't make that mistake again and my deapest apologies garden-domicile-man.

That reminds me of how daft some user names can be.......can you really talk to anyone when they introduce themselves as 'hot rod' and they are a five foot tall geek????? Believe me..this has happened wink
I want one of those tee shirts please lol
So if I go round in future and call everyone
Bob
Herbert
or
Muriel
I should at least get someones name right.............
Make doing munch badges a whole lot easier.............................. cool
Well it's easy to know what my real name is...LoL....but I do know what you mean....
I am always forgetting people's real names so I just use their usernames...it's much easier....
But have you noticed how some people's user names fit them better than their real names? Dammie will ALWAYS be Dammie to me, I don't think I've ever used his real name...LoL....

Don't have an issue with anyone knowing that my name is Paul, because funnily enough I quite like to be called Paul.
What I would have a problem with is if someone used my surname, because my full name is
Paul Hampsterwilly!!!

Paul

. . . . . and I think it's actually now against the AUP
More people refer to me as Callie or Calista now that even my kids know me by it!!!!!!!
I'm dreadfully guilty of referring to Morbius as his real name and a couple of people pm me occasionally redface
Cx
I do and I dont mind! Depends who by and how familiar I am with them.
I dont go by my real name anyway so no-one shall probably recognise me from elsewhere and I rarley tell anyone what it is in real life (I dont like my real name and nobody dares to calls me by it if they do know it).
It comes down to respect for others basically.
I personally, dont sign off with my real name cos I actually love it when people emphasise the *N*...mmmmmm find it quite a turn on hehehe Especially when whispered in me ear!! redface
Oh heck..think its time for bed!! biggrin
xanaisx
I get told off by the wife at munches as i always refer to people by their screen names even though were are often told their rl names when we are introduced..
I just find it much easier to associate who I have met at a munch with who I know in the forum/chatroom...
There are one or two people in the chatroom who I refer to by their rl names but that is fine by them and everyone does it but thats about as far as it goes really..
I can't remember anyone from here actually using my real name in pm or when we meet redface I'm just known as Sassy to one and all ( with the exception of Meaty who refers to me as that gobby welsh bint rolleyes )
I wouldn't be too upset if it was done as a genuine mistake and only the once. I mean, how many Blodwens do you know? dunno
I'm off to whisper n's into anais' ear wink bolt
It feels weird to me sometimes, knowing peoples reals names, and speaking to them on the phone or via text etc, only to have to switch back to their screen names in the forum or chatroom.
