I've just received an e-mail warning of yet another computer virus, this is what it said.

does sound strange! I actually did get am e-mail like this and did open it my computer did not freeze hence the fact here I am typing my reply!?? confused

It's best to delete these straight away. They are a nuisance but they achieve their aims of provoking a denial of service by jamming up e-mail systems when everyone forwards them to everyone they know.
Keep a decent anti-virus scanner running, and keep it up to date. Reputable suppliers will monitor new viruses round the clock, devise countermeasures and deliver them to your PC.
A personal firewall is a good idea too.

but if you forward a hoax, it does the same as a virus, just leave the warnings to the pros.
