Ive just received a load of invites to accept documents/files on my messenger. They didnt send them, and people now asking me what i was trying to send them, when i hadnt been sending anyone anything?

Virus via Messenger warning - AGAIN

Unless someone knows different this one is genuine, just got sent a file via messenger from my wifes computer - it appears to be a Trojan which is coming up as already having infected hers, she opened a file sent by someone on her msn list (From here).
If anyone knows anymore please let me know as I am not much of a techie.

unfortunatly this one looks legit... and i have been caught... it looks as if it is changing the name of the file as it goes around.... and from what i can see the file is 192k... it will crash your computer.... then when you go to restart it will automatically send to everyone in your msn messenger list......

me being the stupid prat that i am. opened it. was from someoen who i knew so never second questioned it.
it downloads a file onto your Pc with the same name as Internet explore. asking you to run it. do NOT.
Luckly ive got Winpatrol. so that took care of it

exactly and i caught it from another person on the site..... who i trust dearly.... so it is an easy thing to catch......i have changed my msn messger setting to warn people....and probably advise everyone else who has been caught out to do the same.......while we all do virus scans and get rid of the bugger.....

all I can say on this matter is make sure your internet security is up to date....it's ok getting all this free stuff of the internet but is it really secure enough?????

if you saw the stuff ive got on my PC.... about 3 firewalls 2 anti viruses..
i'm forever downloading or buying bits for my PC. the tweak programs are brillaint though.
