Just read an interesting article about why they grounded all the planes. Apparently back in '82 a 747 flew through a cloud of ash and they lost all 4 engines at once javascript: add_code(':eeek:'); . The pilot announced that they had a little problem FFS how cool was he , The plane dropped 25000ft before they managed to get them started again.
Yep! heres a dramatic reconstruction of that
Saw something weird near southampton airport, 4 planes or choppers, couldn't hear anything, in formation, looked like they were at different heights, bright lights on then one by one they turned and dissapeared. Just after sunset. Air sampling or ufo's ???? Or Army exercise ?
UFO, for sure.
Using the "volcanic dust" as cover.
I say 'cover', but of course, those in the right circles know that the eruptions of Iceland have no volcanic cause.
Plumes of superheated steam bearing dust and rock-shards started spontaneously rising from non-active lava bads a few days ago. The seat of volcanic activity in that part of Iceland are all at least one and two thirds of a mile to the west. There has been immensely high readings in the x-ray(gamma) and strong magnetic flux npw pinpointed to that very area for the past six days.
No probable scientific explanation has been put forward at this date.
The entire area is becoming unstable, as you might expect of such a highly vulcanised island, though to see such a change in in so small an area over such short a time span is trouble many scientific departments worldwide.
The activity simply doesnt tally with the tectonic and hydrothermic profile.
it is thought that a cause for the rather strong and unseaonal wind direction was also caused specifically by the magnetic influence on the area (source unknown) returning to 'ground' as it were under the forced influence of the van-allen belts... coincidence?
and the airspace over most of northern europe goes quiet... and we see lights...
well, I'm saying nothing.

So can we assume, that the aurora borealis is actually interstellar landing lights for such UFO's, ?
no silly!
That's a natural phenomanon.

I heard on the news they were runnign test flights to try to establish and accurate idea of the extent and density of the ash cloud.
Can you imagine the briefing.
"OK chaps. No flights can take off cos the ash cloud may damage the engines resulting in planes and people plummeting screaming to the ground.
I want volunteers to fly up there and see how bad it is.
Anyone? Chaps? Where are you all going?
Right, forget the volunteering - you, you, you and you. Back here and get your flight kit on!"
