Well it turns out that it wasnt an allergy rash after all but she has got a virus.
I did ask the doctor what the policy was on seeing kids with rashes and I was told that he didnt know as he was new,Fucking unbelieveable.
So luckily she's ok if a little itchy and ill be getting the complaint in asap aswell as a letter to the local rag lol
Thanks you lot kiss
Hi
I know quite a lot about this subject working in the field....and I am shocked they did not see your daughter that morning, especially when you stated she had a rash - normally at least the nurse would assess this before turning a child away completely. GPs have to offer a suitable alternative to the situation too, so if you felt an evening appointment was unacceptable and you could not walk to the A&E, or afford a taxi, they should have offered to pay for your taxi (which they do in most practices nowadays).
I hope she is okay and it was nothing serious.
Clare... I'm gobsmacked. We must have been really good in a previous life
Where I used to live the local GP told me he preferred to be called out for kids problems because he hated seeing them suffer by being dragged out in the cold when they were ill.... and he said he got paid more for call-outs and he was saving for a new car. I think he had his tongue in his cheek then lol
Our current surgery only has one GP and a nurse, but the receptionist and practise manager always manage to find a slot to fit the kids in there and then. In fact she usually gets us adults in within 30 minutes.
So.... in answer to your question about over reaction.....
You were bluddy right to lose it!
Thanks you lot,its nice to know that its not just me.
She is fine in any other way apart from being itchy so its probably just an allergy rash or summat, but god damn it im still fuming now.
Im gonna write an official complaint when ive calmed down a bit more, they wont know what hit em. mad
The thing is what pisses me off is that I looked into changing surgeries and its not allowed if you already have a GP in town, fecking rediculous :x :x :x :x
and breathe in 1,2,3.............
and out 1,2,3............
You were right to stand your ground Clare, these little Hitlers need taking down a peg or two. rolleyes
