hi there bohemian_3
i got my web cam for about £20 out of argos and it does fine.
easy to install just plug into a USB port then insert the installation cd that comes with it and ur set to go. u get software with the package for editing and such wich u can play around with if u please.
the mic on my one wasnt that great but check once u get urs.
hope this has been of help and if u need anymore just ask.
For the best quality, you really should think about a cam that does 60 fps (frames per second). These can be a tad more expensive that the normal ones that only do 30 fps.
If you can get one with the mic built in, so much the better.
Mine is a Toucam Pro 2 and it should have cost but I got it for a third of that in a sale 'cos it had no box.
If you like, MSN me and I'll show you the quality you get with 60 fps.
Too technical?
Nah, just plug it in and off you go.
I've got a web cam, just plug it in ran the disk and away I went, no problems, but don't ask me about the teckkie stuff, and it worked when I was away on hoilday back to the Uk without too many problems.
