I'd love to help, but I'm not aware of how to fix most MSN problems. What version are you using?
It might just require an upgrade.

It is the newest one but it says my web cam is been used some where else or it is not swiched on. dunno
Right my only solution, would be for you to uninstall both your cam and MSN, re-install the cam and then MSN and see what happens. If it doesn't work, then we'll get to that if it happens.
I'd install msn messenger and then the webcam tbh.
MSN messenger will need to register the webcam installed.
With the connection freezing, when you say that, what do you mean? msn crashes or you cant get any internet traffic?
I assume its the webcam freezing inside of MSN. I have a few friends who have that problem. Oh thanks for correcting my advice, I feel a bit silly for saying the cam then MSN.
the webcam freezes then i lose net traffic
i tried tracert afterwards and nothing followed by pinging well know sites,
i have to dial back up
yes i am on dial up

Your cam is probably overloading the dial-up connection and thus causing it to freeze. When using the cam, do you do anything else online?

 why do you think people use a cam lol
Yes, yes, yes...I DO know that some people use webcams to keep in touch with friends and relatives before anyone starts rolleyes
Lol Frecklebird thats not what i meant lol... i mean does he have other programs using the internet running at the same time? If so that'll definitely overload the connection.
What I'd do is whats called a Clean boot by microsoft (Quote from: )
1. Click Start, click Run, type msconfig in the Open box, and then click OK.
2. On the General tab, click Selective Startup, and then clear the Process File, Process File, and Load Startup Items check boxes. You cannot clear the Use Original check box.
3. On the Services tab, select the Hide All Microsoft Services check box, and then click Disable All.
4. Click OK, and then click Restart to restart your computer.

Now when you do this, it will disable your antivirus or firewall and all 3rd party programs and services.
When you are doing step 3 you need to see which services are your antivirus and firewall.
If you have difficulty then you can pm me, I'll check for you smile or you can put the name into google and it will come up with the program.
If there is any malicious program/bug on your computer causing the problem then this will disable it, in theory.
